Larry Leon McQueen passed away at home on November 16th, 2018. Larry was born on May 25th, 1945 in North Platte, NE. He had a diverse career background including: ranching/farming (in his youth), educator, carpentry & commercial construction management. He was an active member of Community Bible Church of Norfolk, NE and founding member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Lincoln, NE and Heritage Bible Church of Lincoln, NE. He is survived by his spouse Ginny Williams-McQueen of Lincoln, NE, two sons, Scott McQueen of Omaha, NE and Tim McQueen of Lexington, MO, and 6 grandchildren. Marcella “Marcy” N. Merrihew, 66, of Alliance, NE, passed away on June 26, 2018, with her family by her side.
She was born in Sidney, NE on April 9, 1952 to James and Gladys (Earnhard) Haskell. She was the youngest of five children. Marcy grew up on a farm by Lodgepole, NE. She attended Lodgepole High School and graduated from Chadron State College. On May 31, 1975 she was united in marriage to Dwight Neil Merrihew.
Marcy was a country school teacher that taught at Hemingford, District #44, District #40 and substituted at various schools in Box Butte County. She was a past member of the United Methodist Church and Jaycee Jills. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marcy and Neil had recently celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Survivors include three children: Mandy (Daniel) Rohrer of Hickman, NE, Megan (Phil) Bohlen of Memphis, NE and Jason (Dallas) of Aurora, CO; eight grandchildren, Makayla Rohrer, Carter Rohrer, Alicia Bohlen, Abbey Rohrer, Caleb Bohlen, Bryce Rohrer, Alex Rohrer and Layne Merrihew.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Jim and Gladys Haskell, sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Bob Mashek, brother Tom Haskell, and father in law Robert Merrihew.
Memorial Service will be held July 7, 2018 at 11am MST at the Alliance Methodist Church.
Burial of the urn will be 10am, July 8, at the Kowanda Cemetery – rural Oshkosh, NE.

September 23, 1930 – May 11, 2018 Robert grew up in Tulare, CA, the fourth of five sons of W.E. and Bula McCallister. After his graduation from high school, he attended College of the Sequoias and San Francisco State. He pursued the ministry at Iliff School of Theology and received a B.D. from Pacific School of Religion. He served the Methodist church in Stockton, St Helena and Mill Valley, CA. Bob then went on to pursue an MA and PhD at Northwestern. He held a variety of teaching and administrative positions at Baker University, Doane College, Fresno State, Missouri Valley College and St. Mary College (Professor Emeritus). He was instrumental in the development of the Doane-Lincoln program. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially Sequoia National Park in California. He loved music, hiking, reading and was an avid sports fan. He served as advisor to the Doane men’s basketball team during his tenure there. Survivors: son, Andy of Crete; daughter and son-in-law, Marti and Tim McKee, grandsons Alex and Ian, of Lincoln. Services will be held Thursday, May 17th at 10:30 AM, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorials to Doane University – LIVE Doane Scholarship Fund in memory of Robert McCallister or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
