Charlene “Sherry” Frances Kidney

Charlene “Sherry” Kidney was born on April 24, 1943. She passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on March 6, 2018.

She is preceded in death by Merle “Buzz” Bussard (dad), Ruth Eskey (mother), Connie Kormanec (sister), Kevin Quidato (nephew), and Melissa Vifquain (granddaughter).

She is survived by two sisters (Jean Bartlett and Jackie Quidato), four daughters (Kathy Fronk, Lori Vifquain, Manette McKeeman, and Peggy Sharp), five nephews, three nieces, thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Services honoring her life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday March 23rd, at Plains Baptist Church, 2902 Randolph St., Lincoln, NE with Pastor Raymond Smith. A reception will be held at Lake Street Senior Center, 2400 S. 11th St., Lincoln, NE from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with light lunch, dessert, and live music from one of Sherry’s favorite bands, The Fine Wines.  Parking is available through the alley way into the church parking lot.

Memorials may be given to Lake Street Senior Center.

Son, Ronald Kernodle; Step-son, Brian Rice and wife Amy; 6 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild.

Cremation.  No visitation.  Celebration of Life Service will be held in the future.

Mitchel Lee Klein

Mitchel L. Klein, 67, Lincoln, NE (formerly of Hasting and Grand Island) passed away on Oct. 21, 2017 in Lincoln, NE.

Klein was born February 14th, 1950 in Grand Island to Harold and Marjorie (Humpal) Klein. He graduated from Grand Island Sr. High School and Hastings College. Mitch became a Master Electrician and owned his own business until his move to Winnipeg, Canada. In his later years, he moved to Lincoln, NE where he enjoyed sport shooting, driving his Corvette, and training and raising his purebred chocolate labs, Nellie and P.J.

Cremation. No visitation. Private service.

Mitch was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter Kaili York and grandson Grant; son Michael Klein and spouse Maddy with their children Harper and Rockee; sister and spouse Susan and Dave Kutschkau, sister Barb Klein, and sister and spouse Lori and Ted Graves; & many nieces and nephews.
