Frank Konrad Guzinski

Frank K. Guzinski, 63, of Lincoln, formerly of Grand Island, passed away Monday August 16, 2021 in Lincoln, following a lengthy illness. Frank was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Leonard and Kathryn Guzinski (Moody). He grew up an “ARMY BRAT” and lived in many states, most of his life in Grand Island and Lincoln. He attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Central Catholic High School in Grand Island. A skilled drywaller and framer he worked for various companies around the state. Frank loved spending time on his boat “The Pick 5” fishing. Early in life he enjoyed dirt bikes. In 1999 he married Jenifer Salzman. They had a wonderful country sunrise wedding. They made their home in Lincoln. He loved spending time with his relatives and his beloved dog Jack. He also helped coach YMCA boys baseball/softball. He played on many baseball/softball teams in the Lincoln area. He took his brother to a College World Series game in Omaha and they talked about it for years. After several surgeries he still liked to fish, saying “Someone has to do it!” “Keep your face to the sun and your back to the wind,” was also a saying he would use. He is survived by his wife Jenifer, brother in law Jay and Donna Salzman, sister in law Joleen and Robert Perry, mother in law Lou Salzman, all from the Lincoln area, brother and sister in law Leonard and Sharon Guzinski Jr. of Grand Island, nieces, nephews, and grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father Leonard Sr. and mother Katheryn, father in law Gary R Salzman, stepson Christopher Harvey, and grandson Zechariah Harvey Memorials to the family to promote outdoor sports for kids. A meal will be held in Lincoln at 6:00pm on Friday August 27 2021 with a small service to follow starting at 7:00 at ConnectioN Point Church; 1333 N 33rd St, Lincoln, NE 68503. An open house will be held August 28, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Apfel Funeral Home; 1123 West 2nd Street, Grand Island Nebraska 68801. To leave a condolence please use the form below.

Larry G. Graff 10/05/1949-04/12/2021 Born in Lincoln, Nebraska to George and Ruth O. (May) Graff, Larry graduated from Lincoln Southeast in 1968 and proudly served the Marine Corp from 1968-1970. Larry was a dedicated police officer for the Lincoln police department, retiring after 26-years of service in 1997. Larry is survived by his wife, Christine (Gramsmick) Graff, son and daughter in law James and Jennifer Graff, grandsons Cole and Alex, brother and sister in law, James R. and Kathy Graff of Gothenburg NE, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his furry friend Cooper.
