John Edward Wuethrich, 66, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at The Journey House. He was born August 20, 1951 in Fremont, NE Survived by sisters Sharon Kerns (Bob), Marlene Frazier, Pam Brunke (Rich); sisters-in-law Bev Adams (Doyle) and Carol Wuethrich; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father and mother Earl and Catherine Wuethrich, brothers Earl Jr., George “Bud” and brother-in-law Gerald Frazier. Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Lincoln Labor Union Temple, 4625 ‘Y’ Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. Born October 9, 1952, Don Watgen (Grandpa) passed away December 4, 2017 at home with his loved ones around him. He is survived by his wife Niona (Daisy) Watgen; daughter and son-in-law Candyce, Keven Summers and sons Joseph Watgen and Jason Shield; grandchildren Hunter and Autum Summers and his sister and brother-in-law Donna & Vern Davis; and many nieces and nephews. Don served in the Army from 1971-1976. He served some of that time over in Germany. Shorty after he discharged from the Army, he married Daisy in August of 1979. They were married for 38 years. Don enjoyed spending his with family friends, he loved going fishing and going to car shows. Don’s two grandchildren were the light of life, he loved spending his time with them, taking them fishing and raking up piles of leaves for them to jump in. Don retired when he was 64 but he still always worked. Over the past year he worked part time at InExhaust. He was happy working there. He spoke fondly about the people he worked with. They were like family to him. Memorial Service on Sunday, December 10, 2017, 10:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at the Auld Pavilion Building at 1650 Memorial Drive in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for future designation.
