“Jean” Luella Jean Woodbury
Luella “Jean” Woodbury, 93, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on February 11, 2020. Born January 25, 1927 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Samuel and Doris Hawkins. Jean had two sons, Thomas Detore and Daniel Detore, with first husband Dominick Detore. On August 8, 1980, she married the love of her life, Duncombe “Woody” Woodbury in California, where they resided for many years. Jean had a passion for animals, photography and traveling. Jean is survived by her son, Tom (Eileen) Detore of Columbia, Missouri; daughter-in-law Rebecca Detore of Lincoln, Nebraska; granddaughters Jennifer (Devin) Reinke and Shelley (Chad) Lyon, both of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother Lynn (Valerie) Hawkins, of De Smet, South Dakota; and sister-in-law Joan Hawkins of Watertown, South Dakota. She is also survived by four great grandsons, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband Woody, son Daniel, and brothers Clayton Hawkins and Donald Hawkins. Private family memorial service to be held at a later date. George P. Wagner
George P Wagner, born February 1940 in Chicago, passed away peacefully January 2020 in Lincoln NE, with his daughters holding his hands. George, after graduating from Loyola Academy, 1958 and the Illinois Institute of Technology, 1962, joined the Navy, serving aboard the USS Chicago during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, George began a lifelong career as an engineer with Commonwealth Edison until his retirement in 2005. George loved, in no particular order: bowling, bad puns, good bourbon and stamp collecting. He was a member of many Philatelic societies and won several medals for exhibits he put together. George is survived by his two daughters: Karen (James Lafler) Wagner, Anne Wagner, his granddaughters, nephews, niece and cousins. Memorial services are being planned for both Lincoln, NE and Chicago, IL, with details to come. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking memorial donations be made in George’s name to The Michael J. Michael Dane Webb
September 30th, 1947 – October 28th, 2019

Survived by his wife, Lou Mary; his children: Mary Michael and Matt Goettsch, Geoff and JoAnna Webb, Annika Webb, Kathryn Webb, and David Barnett; and his four grandchildren: Mattie and Morgan Goettsch and Dane and Drake Webb. He is also survived by his sister Denise and Dan Moore, brother Steve and Cathy Webb, sister-in-law Ryly Jane and Ken Hambleton, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Proceeded in death by his father and mother, Dane and Johnna Webb, and brother Keith Webb.

Lyndall Duane Watson
Lyndall Duane Watson 92 of Ashland, Nebraska passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at Oxbow Living Center in Ashland, Nebraska. He was the fifth of six children born to Hugh Franklin Watson and Era Etta (Rollins) Watson on July 14, 1927 at Oakland, Pottawatamie County, Iowa. He attended school at Broadwater, Nebraska and graduated from Broadwater High School in the class of 1945. He was a farmhand until he entered into the Army October 14, 1950 in Denver, Colorado. He was in Co. H 179th Inf Regt 45th Div APO 86 as a Munitions Handler. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze star, United National Service Medal, 1 Overseas Bar, Combat Infantry Badge March 6, 1952. Separated from the Army at Camp Carson Colorado and honorably discharged. He married Nellie Willa Jean “Willajean” Mansfield December 14, 1952 at the United Methodist Church in Ashland, Nebraska and lived at Scottsbluff, Nebraska until 1957 when they moved to Ashland. He started working for CB&Q railroad at Havelock Shops in 1957 as a laborer then became a helper then was a carman until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Ashland Saddle Club, Silver Squares square dance club, Grange, was a Mason, and a member of American Legion Post 129. He is survived by his three sons and wives, Richard (Cathy) Watson, Ashland, Jack (Carolyn) Watson, Ashland, Bryan (Valerie) Watson, Lincoln, 5 grand children and three great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Charles Franklin Watson, sister Daurine Marie (Watson) Baker, sister Elora Blanche (Watson) Morris, sister Verle Marilyn (Watson) Beal, and brother Hubert Henry Watson. On Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. a graveside service was at the Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Nebraska. A family visitation followed at the Ashland United Methodist Church, 1442 Adams St, Ashland, NE.
