Paula was born July 25,1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Ruth (Ridinger) and Albert Fuhrman. Our loving Paula went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 68. She leaves behind her daughter, Mary Katrina Mendoza, son-in-law Greg, and four grandchildren: Conner, Charlotte, Perry and Margo of Lincoln, Nebraska, and her brother, Albert Fuhrman Jr. (Sonny) of Wichita Falls, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, Ruth and Albert Fuhrman, former husband Perry Bethe, and sister Mary Helen Fuhrman. Paula retired from Bamford Fire Sprinkler in 2012 and continued to work part-time. She always enjoyed her work and the company of her co-workers. Paula was a dedicated mother and grandmother and had planned to retire to Nebraska to be with them. Unfortunately, it was her illness that brought her home with her loved ones. She was proudly cared for and loved in her final days. Paula was a very spiritual person, always finding a reason, a connection, a purpose in all that life had to offer. She was never afraid to take a risk or find the adventure or beauty in a situation or moment. Her perspective was the perfect balance and leaves a legacy of service and gratitude mixed with rebellion and fun. A service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas at 843 Lewis Avenue on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held shortly after the service as well. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Domestic Violence Association of Central Kansas or the Salina Animal Shelter.
