Ruby E. Spaedt, 84, of Wilber Nebraska, formerly of Eaton Colorado, died June 28th, 2018 at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln Nebraska. She was born March 21st, 1934 to Eli McKibbon and Mary (Goodin) McKibbon in Oklahoma. In 1949 she married Cleman Bryant. They lived in the Oklahoma area where she worked in food service. She married Frank Strong in 1953 in Muleshoe Texas. They lived and worked in Texas, later moving to Colorado where she worked for the Eaton School District in food service, and then for Kodak of Colorado. Ruby married Bill Spaedt in 1979 in Greeley, Colorado. They lived and worked in the Eaton area. She loved gardening and making her home beautiful. She was known for making every plant she touched grow. Ruby is survived by her sons Jim Alan Bryant of Evans, CO; Steve Strong of Mesquite, NV; and daughter Beth Reichert of Wilber NE; 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; sisters Opal Kirk of Sherman, Texas, Peggy Dyer of Loveland, CO; and brother Ken McKibbon of Sherman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Pricilla Bryant, her parents, and eight brothers. She was a generous person and loved her family. She was known for how much she loved to talk and never knew a stranger. Graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 7, 2018 at the Eaton Cemetery at Eaton, Colorado with reception to follow at the conference room at Cobblestone Inn — 485 S Elm Rd. Eaton, CO 80615. Lorena J. Howard Shick, 88, died June 9, 2018. Lorena was born in Thayer County, Nebraska in 1930.Rena was the daughter of John Royal and Mary Retta (Barrett) Posey. She married Harold Howard in November 1955, and they raised two girls. Lorena is survived by her daughters Lorie Kelley and Susan Lyman of Lincoln; her brother Joe Posey of Hebron; grandsons Michael Lyman (Sue), Andrew Kelley (Coco) and Alex Kelley (Katie); two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; beloved nephews and nieces; and dear friends. Lorena is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers John and James. Florissa ShaRay Simmons went home to be with her heavenly Father and Creator June 5, 2018 after a courageous fight with cancer. Florissa is the daughter of Erin Renee Simmons and Jimmy Lynn Simmons. Florissa was born November 20, 1997. She is survived by her mother and father Erin Renee Simmons and Jimmy Lynn Simmons, sisters Jasmine Rose Simmons, and Erica Renee Simmons, grandmother Mary Katherine Reynolds (Lee) and uncle Jason Lee Kunz. Born – August 7, 1934 Carolyn Joyce Stuvick, daughter of William and Opal Stuvick entered the gates of Heaven on June 1, 2018. She was raised in the Red Oak, Iowa area with 3 siblings, William (Bill), Betty, and Joanne. Throughout all her life Carolyn loved to shop, was a compassionate animal lover, and enjoyed travel. Carolyn married Wayne H. Waldron, and to this union six children were born, Linda, Diane, Wayne, Joyce, Steve, and Marci. Carolyn’s family relocated to the Lincoln, NE area in the mid-60’s where she was employed at the Lincoln Telephone Company. She was later married to Lyle Judson and ran the ‘Corner Tavern’ in Swanton, NE. In her later years, she was again united in marriage to Byron Harder. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents William and Opal Stuvick and sisters Betty Fuller and Joanne Graham. She is survived by her brother Bill and her children Linda Kyzer of Cabot, AR, Diane Foreman of Duncan, OK, Wayne Waldron of Rosston, AR, Joyce McGlothin of Spokane, WA, Steve (Deb) Waldron of Kramer, NE, and Marci Wilhelm of Crete, NE; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
