Marilyn Irene Jones

Marilyn Irene Jones 76, a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister left this world January 28, 2020. She entered this world September 14, 1943 to her parents Richard and Irene Bohaty in Schuyler Ne.

She is survived by her brothers Ronald and Randy Bohaty. Her 2 loving daughters Candace Young and Tamara Croghan and also her son Richard Jones.

The love that Marilyn had for her children was unconditional as well as being a huge Packers fan and her love for horses and food. Through out the years she watched her children grow up to become wonderful strong loving individuals with Big hearts.

Marilyn is also survived by her grandchildren Nathan Young, Wilbur Young and Tara Booton.

We all love Marilyn for the way and who she was. Marilyn was one of a kind and we will never forget all the precious memories and adventures we had with Marilyn. She helped each and everyone of us grow into who we are today. May she Rest In Peace and fly above in heaven with her angel sisters Lorraine and Koreda. Marilyn will forever be in our hearts. We love you.

Kimberly Diana Kalkwarf

Kimberly (Kim) Diana Kalkwarf, 56, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Lancaster Rehabilitation Center where she had lived since October 17, 2017.

Kim was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Birthdays and holidays were especially important to her. She made sure that everyone always got birthday and Christmas cards.

Kim is survived by her mother Barbara Brinkman, sons Andrew Perez and Matthew Kalkwarf, brothers Dean (Tina) and Jason Brinkman, sister Wendy Elazouzi, nieces and nephews Sarah Lindsay and Aiman Elazouzi and Arlington Wiseley, stepsister Lori Raymer, best friend Janee Polk, aunt Yasman (Deven) Taylor, uncle Charles (Faye) Brinkman.

Preceded in death by father Elliott and stepmother Norma Brinkman, grandparents Ervin and Gina Brinkman and Dorothy Markwad, aunt Elenore Balko, uncles Jerome and James Brinkman and niece Hailey Wiseley.

Memorial service was held February 5, 2020 at Lancaster Rehabilitation Center, 1001 South Street in Lincoln in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m.

Arlene Ella Monnier

Arlene Ella Monnier, age 67, died peacefully in her home, Thursday January 23, 2020.

Arlene was born May 13, 1952, to Leo and Emma (Buller) Monnier in York, Nebraska where she grew up.  She is survived by her two sisters, Elaine Monnier and Sharon (Don) Nunnenkamp;  her four nieces and nephews, Tracy (Lori) Nunnenkamp, Stacy (Perry) Siebert, Joshua Griffin, Kitra (Kian Dempsey) Monnier; six great-nieces and nephews, Kasey (Mitchell) Huebert, Kurtis Siebert, Kori Siebert, Emily, Zachary & Kaley Nunnenkamp; also many great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Arlene had a love for animals.  Over the years, she cared for squirrel monkeys, a small herd of Angora goats, African parrots, many parakeets, cockatiels, finches, and more.  She also cared for a potbellied pig, many dogs, cats and even a skunk.  She was always willing to help people and animals alike.

Arlene also had a passion for writing.  She had been a member of the Writers Guild and wrote numerous novels and screen plays.  She enjoyed science fiction and had a flair for details in her creative works.

Arlene enjoyed life with her animals and visits from family and friends.  Though she wasn’t outgoing, she was always up for a good debate over politics and never had a problem sharing her opinion.  She was friendly to everyone and would always greet you with a smile and inquire how you were.  Arlene was loved and will be missed…

A cremation memorial will be held for immediate family at a later date.

Bryan John Simpson

Simpson, Bryan John, 30, Valparaiso, Nebraska. Passed away on January 21, 2020.  Born on May 29, 1989 to Brenda Simpson and James Schell.  Bryan had many passions in life but his children held his heart.

Preceded in death by grandmothers Connie Simpson and Vivian Schell.

Survived by his son Bentley Simpson and his daughter Aiyanna Simpson of Lincoln, Nebraska; parents Brenda Simpson and her fiancée Randy Down of Garland, Nebraska and James and Marsha Schell of Lincoln; brothers Taylor Simpson, Devin Schell, &  Jacob Swartz; sisters Miranda Knaub, Zoey Schell, & Shelby Swartz; grandfather and best friend John Simpson; nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles & cousins.

Memorial service on February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the the Northwest Community Church, 10200 Malcolm Road in Malcolm, Nebraska.
