Keith Leslie Morrissey
Keith L. Morrissey went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 13, 2024. Keith was born March 31, 1948 in Perth Australia. At the age of 17 he joined the Australian Navy and was part of the elite force, the Special Landing Party (SLP). During his time with the Navy, Keith fought in the Vietnam War. After his time with the Navy, in 1970, Keith went to Bible college in Perth, AU, where he met his wife and lifelong partner, Pamela D. Morrissey, who passed away in 2017. After Bible college, Keith and Pam moved to Pam’s hometown of Caldwell, Idaho, where they had their first child, Alexis, in 1975. Keith then served a term of service with the US Airforce and was stationed in Las Vegas, NV, where they had their two other children, Adam (1977), and Amanda (1980). In 1982 Keith achieved his Masters in Psychology. While in Las Vegas he was a therapist and professor of psychology at the community college. Keith was heavily involved in both homeless and prison ministries, and also served as a chaplain for the Las Vegas Police Department. In 2001 Keith and Pam settled in Lincoln, NE, to be closer to their grandchildren. While in Lincoln, Keith continued to work as a therapist. Keith continued to actively work with the local homeless community and prison ministries in Lincoln, and also served as Elder at F Street Neighborhood Church. During their time in Lincoln, Keith and Pam were foster parents to several children in transition. Keith was an abundantly generous person. Throughout his life he continuously took people under his wing as a mentor and father figure, changing countless lives for the better. Keith was loved by many, and the impact of his legacy will continue for many generations to come. Keith is survived by his 3 children, Alexis Heller (Mike Heller), Adam Morrissey (Jillian Johnsrud), and Amanda White; grandchildren, Taylor and William Heller, Asher, Robert, Neveah, Isabella, and Gideon Morrissey, and Ava and Brodie White; Siblings, Joyce, Neolene, Graeme, Ian, Ron, and Helen; Sister-in-law, Trudy Creamer, and many nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Morrissey; grandson, Micah Morrissey; and parents, Clyde and Jessie Morrissey. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm at F Street Neighborhood Church; 1302 F St, Lincoln, NE 68508. Leon Robert McLaughlin
Leon R McLaughlin, 84, passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 12, 2024. He was born in Dorchester, Nebraska on February 25, 1940 to Elsie & Robert McLaughlin. In 1989, he married (Gloria) Jean Nidever. He served in the US Army. Leon is survived by his sister Carol (Victor) Sorge; grandchildren Hannah & Ayden Tuttle; brother-in-law Les (Lois) Little; former son-in-law Dave (There- sa) Tuttle; beloved fur baby Maizie; and many relatives & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter Christy Tuttle; brother Larry McLaughlin; sisters-in-law Karen Tilton, Linda (Marvin) Long, & Anita Knowles; and cousin Thomas Hohl. Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 2 at 1 p.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M St., in Lincoln with Rev. Jane Florence officiating. There will be a reception to follow, at the church. Family will have a private inurnment at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Joey Eugene Miller
Joey Miller 67, of Lincoln NE, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024. He was born to Eugene and Bernice (Jones) Bauer on November 27, 1956. Joey grew up in Lincoln, NE. When he was younger he enjoyed being with family at the lake, camping and water skiing during the summer. Family gatherings were always special to him. Joey drove for Ready Mixed Concrete and T.O. Haas for many years, then went on to drive a city bus for StarTran. After meeting his beloved Jenni, he moved to Fordland, MO. Together, they enjoyed the outdoors and lending a hand to friends and neighbors. When Joey returned to Lincoln he looked forward to spending time with his sister Jeannie – going to lunch or getting a coffee at Scooters. He is survived by his son Daniel (Luz) Miller, Crete, NE.; his granddaughter Kayleigh Miller; grandson Caleb Marsh; His sisters Jeannie (Mark) Darrington, Shannon (Larry) Vlasnik and Sharon Smice all of Lincoln.
