Randal J. Uribe

Two weeks ago our brother Randal (Randy) Uribe passed away at his residence in Valparaiso Nebraska, he was 69.  Randy was born 11/30/54 in Lincoln Nebraska, the middle child of Joe and Janet (Person) Uribe.  Randy attended school in Lincoln, Dayton OH and Auburn.  Upon receiving his high school diploma he completed his Army BCT training at Ft. Leonard Wood MO.  He chose to follow our father in becoming a skilled brick mason in SE Nebraska for 20 years and in September 1982 completed law enforcement training in Grand Island.  He served in law enforcement for 15 years in the communities of Battle Creek, Neligh, Pierce and Fullerton Nebraska.  His love of family and friends was always present in his life.  His hobbies included, fishing with his boys, hunting with his father and brother,  woodcarving and the love of feeding songbirds.  He was a life long learner who enjoyed reading and keeping up on current events.  His wonderful smile, great laugh and amazing hugs will be truly missed.

He is survived by his sisters Christy & Mike Martin TX, Lori Uribe Lincoln and Carri & Dave Honz Lincoln, sister-in-law Kathy Uribe Holdrege, sons Randy & Carla Uribe AZ and Jason and Wendy Uribe Lincoln, grandkids, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Ronald (Ron) Uribe.

Per Randy’s wishes his body was cremated at Aspen in Lincoln.  The family will hold a celebration of life this summer.

Winifred “Winnie” Pauline Uden

On Sunday February 25, 2018, Winifred Pauline Uden passed away at the age of 106. Winnie will be forever remembered by her family as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend! She will be missed by all who knew her. Winnie enjoyed many things throughout her life such as painting, camping, reading and nature, but most of all her family!

Winifred was born on October 29, 1911 in rural Clay County Nebraska to Fredrick and Pearl Goesch. She graduated from Edger High School in 1927. She married Lauren Sanburg in 1932 and was blessed with five children, Barbara (Sanburg) Pinneo, Darrell Sanburg, Terry Sanburg, Larry Sanburg, and Raymond Sanburg.

She moved from York Nebraska to California and married Ervin Uden in 1956.They lived in California until retirement when they relocated to Yuma Arizona. She remained in Yuma until 2016 when she moved to Lincoln Nebraska to live with her daughter.

Winifred was preceded in death by husband Ervin Uden, son Darrell Sanburg, son Larry Sanburg, step son Norman Uden, son in law Virgil Pinneo and daughter in laws Darlyne Sanburg and Joanne Sanburg as well as her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a grand daughter in law. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Pinneo, sons Terry Sanburg and Raymond Sanburg as well as 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren, 5 great great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in memory of Winifred was held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. At the First Christian Church, 430 South 16th Street, Lincoln NE.

Memorial donations in memory of Winnie may be made to the Capital Humane Society,
