Alice LaVonne Terrill

Alice LaVonne Terrill, Age 92, of Lincoln passed away on June 15th, 2022. Alice was born and raised in Pisgah Iowa on November 23rd, 1929. Alice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family more than anything else.
Alice is survived by her sister Rosie; her two children, Herbert G. (Rebecca) Gentry Jr. of Callaway NE, and Rick L. (Caroline) Gentry of Clarksville TN; seven grandchildren, Jaime L. (Monte) Keough, Michael G. (Abby) Gentry, Jodi Gentry, Tabitha A. (Richard) Perkins, Sabrina (Matthew) Sloffer, Danika and Wilhem Gentry; eight great grandchildren, Kameron, Zkobi, Madilynn, Isabella, Kaleb, Noah, Logan and Wyatt; and one great-great granddaughter Meelah.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Terrill; her parents Hubbard and Elizabeth Armstrong; her five brothers, Donny, Jerry, Chuck, Billy, and Lucky; her three sisters, Dane, Dixie, and Lorna; her three children, Roselyn Rose, Billy Rose, and Rebecca Gentry; and her great grandchild Jacob.

Jay Arlin Thody

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, Jay Arlin Thody, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died at the age of 88. He was born on January 16, 1934, in Shelby, Montana. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. He worked for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Landscape Services for over 30 years. He and his wife Maxine built their own house in Waverly, Nebraska, where they raised their three sons. Jay was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife Maxine, sons Tyler (Chris) Thody, Arlin (Krissy) Thody, and Adam (Kim Stuhr) Thody. He leaves nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 14410 Folkstone Street, Waverly, Nebraska. Myrna Maxine True

Myrna M. McCormick True died on December 12, 2021 at the age of 93 years. She was born on December 7, 1928 to Thomas and Edna (Danekas) McCormick. On August 27, 1949 she married Thomas O. True. They had one daughter, Nancy, through adoption. Myrna worked at Brandeis as an elevator operator, Elgin Watch Co., and Russell Stover’s. She enjoyed painting beautiful watercolor paintings with Darlene Jansen’s class, water aerobics, camping, her grandchildren and great granddaughters. Myrna is survived by her daughter Nancy Lamb (Steve); granddaughters Dr. Sarah Macomber (Kevin Borquist), Portland, OR; Dr. Jayne Nelson (Chase), Hastings, NE; grandson Ian Macomber, Minneapolis, MN; great granddaughters Adaline, Haizley, Estella and Quinn Nelson, Hastings, NE; nieces and nephews. She is preceded is death by her parents, husband, sisters Donna Grady, Mary Kimeta, Delores O’Boyle and their husbands; sister-in-law Barbara True Bradley Warner and her husbands; nephews Timmy, Johnny, niece Margie. Trevor Vilas Tieken

Trevor Vilas Tieken: b. June 1st, 1966, d. August 11th, 2021 at the age of 55. Trevor grew up in Pomona, California, with his parents and three sisters. He attended school at St. Paul’s Lutheran as a child, followed by Lutheran High LaVerne. He was firm in his faith, and valued science and knowledge. He moved to Nebraska from California the summer of 1990, where he met Sheryl Kehm. They were married June 12th, 1995. He was a working man, who valued both his family and financial stability. Diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer on October 8th, 2019, he worked until he was no longer able to. During his journey, he was pleasant, patient and strong until the very end. He passed, peacefully, surrounded by his family, visited by his friends, and knew that he was blessed and loved until the very end. He was survived by his wife, Sheryl Kehm Tieken (Seward, NE); his daughters, Tatyana Tieken, Vanessa Tieken and Kassandra Tieken (all residing in Seward, NE); his granddaughter, Natalie Munsinger (Seward, NE); his sisters; Brenda Tieken-Goodman (Upland, CA), Tamara Tieken (Lake Havasu, AZ) and Corinne Tieken (Bloomington, CA); his father-in-law, Ralph (Mick) Kehm (Seward, NE); his brother-in-law, Terry Kehm (Seward, NE); along with various nieces, nephews, and great nieces. He also is survived by the family’s dog, a blue nosed pit named Chloe (Seward, NE), and his best friend in his adult life, James Holmes (Lincoln, NE). He was preceded in death by his mother, MaryAnn (Ellis) Tieken and his father, LaVerne Tieken, as well as his mother-in-law, Sandra Kehm. There will be a small, informal service held by the family on Sunday, Aug 22nd, at 3:00 pm at Seward Bowl, 123 S 4th St, Seward NE, 68434.
