Barbara L. (Packett) Roach passed away February 1, 2018. She was born to Glenn and Margaret Packett on April 17, 1931, in Burchard, Nebraska. One of 12 children, she grew up in the Tecumseh area. Barbara worked outside the home on occasion, but she was a devoted stay at home mom. She was a caregiver to the end always worrying about others needs first.
Barbara married Gerald D. Roach on January 14, 1948. To this union nine children were born: Caryl (Bob) Doolittle of Loveland, Colorado, David Roach of Denton, Nebraska, Pamela (Steve) Thompson of Lincoln, Mona (Larry) Jenkins of Lincoln, Sheryl (Neal) Brandt of Berthoud, Colorado, Daryl (Kathy) Roach of Ithica, Nebraska, Donald (Cindy) Roach of Martell, Nebraska, Duane (Jayme) Roach also of Lincoln, and Marilyn Snyder of Lincoln. She has 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and brothers Jim and David; sisters Jane and Margaret; and great-grandson William Thompson.
Cremation. No visitation. Memorial Service on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ’s Place, 1111 Old Cheney Road in Lincoln, Nebraska. Private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for later designation.
Our beloved Jennifer (Jen) Rondeau was born in Grand Forks, ND on 09/16/1971 and she passed in Lincoln, NE on 1/14/2018. Jen is survived by her son Daniel Paolini, parents Bill & Linda Rondeau, and brother Dan Rondeau (Julie & Josh), among many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jen loved animals and brought love and laughter into the lives of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed! Mass of Christian Burial in the future.

Harvey Glenn (Homer) Ringland, 73, Bennet, NE passed away December 28, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Born August 8, 1944 to LeRoy and Mary Ringland, he grew up on their farm near Bennet and graduated from Bennet High School in 1963. He completed his Barber College degree and while he was a barber, he also was a member of the Army National Guard for six years. Glenn had worked for ADM, Lincoln Plant then had changed to the Purina Chow plant in Lincoln, where he then transferred to the Ralston Purina Pet Plant in Denver, CO where he retired in February 2001. In retirement years he loved golf, working in his metal shop building trailers and repairing items for friends and family. He helped his brother with cattle sales & shows, and enjoyed water sports. His passion was being with family at get-togethers. Survivors include his wife Gail (Buswell); daughters Dina (Brad) Beardsley, Roxanne Ringland, and Annette Newton; siblings Marilyn (David) Lieurance, and Ronald Ringland; mother-in-law Lois Buswell; brothers-in-laws Gordon Buswell, and David (Lana) Buswell; grandchildren Nicholas Beardsley, Steven, Karey and Jeffrey Newton; nieces and nephews Ronnie (Tami) Ringland, Kristen Ringland (Steve Sherrill); Lynn (Mike) Pease, Leigh Lieurance, Jim (Julie) Lieurance, Darla (Jason) Lacey, and Holly (Brent) Kube; twelve great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew; and lots of friends. Preceded in death by his father LeRoy Ringland, mother Mary Jane (Peckham) Ringland, brother Dale LeRoy Ringland; father-in-law Elmer Buswell; and sister-in-law Sue Lana Ringland. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for future donations to Bennet Community Church and the American Legion as Glenn had specified. Cremation. No visitation. Service in the future.

LaVonne R. Ruley, 59, of Lincoln, NE left this earthly life to join her Heavenly Father on December 27, 2017. LaVonne battled mightily against breast and ovarian cancer, but passed away from MDS Leukemia – peacefully in her home, surrounded by loving family, friends, and her pup pups. LaVonne was born on April 16, 1958 in Aurora, IL to Delores Mae (McCray) and Lloyd LaVerne Keslar. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1976. LaVonne married James Ruley on 12-4-1993, and to this union LaVonne was blessed with the light of her life, James Devin Ruley. LaVonne was a RN and worked at Bryan Hospital and the Nebraska Heart Institute as a Cath Nurse for 39 years. Her caring touch left an impact with many patients and their families. Her sense of humor eased the most difficult of situations. While balancing family and career she made time for Jimmy, being his strongest supporter of all his endeavors, especially his baseball and basketball teams. She had an affection for pets, always counting one or more dogs as members of the family. In recent months, granddaughter Addilyn Mae occupied a special place in her life LaVonne enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and travelling with friends. Special interests include Husker Sports and the Kansas City Royals baseball games. LaVonne is survived by son James Devin Ruley (Caitlin Roussan) and granddaughter Addilyn Mae of Hoskins, NE; sister LeIla White of Lincoln, NE; sister LaVerna Bakk (James) of Lincoln, NE; and brother Paul Keslar (Deb) of Lincoln, NE; 6 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces/nephews. LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, Delores and Lloyd Keslar. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 5th, 2018 at the Community of Christ Church, 2045 South 44th St (44th & South Streets), Lincoln NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for future designation.
