Larry King
Larry King was born June 24,1934 in the old St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln. His parents were Richard & Theresa King. Larry died July 23, 2020 at home. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing & pheasant hunting in his younger years. He had a cabin in Cedar Creek, NE where he spent his summers, fishing, swimming, sailing & skiing. At the age of 70, he became a certified scuba diver. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1952. He then spent 2 years in the Army, followed by a 41 year career at Minnegasco Gas Company. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church for 56 years. Larry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Roberta (Kost), daughter Nancy (John Grady) Lincoln, son Daniel (Dawn) Marco Island Fl., grandson Richard Daniel King, San Jose CA., sister Judy Nicholson, Tucson AZ., many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Raymond King & half brother, Stanley King. Due to the virus, Larry is being cremated with any services to be at a later date. Glenn Eugene Andersen
Glenn E. Andersen, 84, accomplished industrial engineer and loving father and Glenn was born May 10, 1936, in Lincoln. fishing and the movie “A Christmas Story.”

Corporation, an engineering organization for non-nuclear components of nuclear
weapons that had its origins in the Manhattan Project. Glenn also held
management positions with Northern Natural Gas in Omaha, the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln and Johnson County, Kansas. He was active in professional
engineering associations throughout his career. After he retired, he taught
graduate courses in engineering management at UNL and worked for four years
transporting residents of a skilled nursing facility.
Charles. Survived by daughters Diane Rose, Kimberly Mayberry (Rob), and
Kathleen Havener, and grandchildren Scott, Shannon, Alex and Robby. Survivors
also include niece Lynn Sturek (Don), nephews Kurt, Gil and Scott, and great
nieces and nephews Jeff, John, Kacie, Kristen, Kara, Coleman and Ella. We love
him and he will be greatly missed.

Shari Ann (Fischer) Schmidt
April 25, 1957-July 21, 2020 Shari of rural Sterling, NE was child number four of eleven, born to Ray L. Fischer and JoAnn G. (Werner) Fischer in Tecumseh, NE. She died peacefully at home with her soul-mate and Prince Charming at her side. Shari was the Queen of four children who, together gave her 10 grandchildren and, what our God given imaginations tell us, the most incredible reunion and ‘Welcome to Paradise’ a mother could receive. Her grandchildren were her most loved and cherished gifts on Earth. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first great-granddaughter coming in October. Shari’s love for her siblings was as deep and wide as the ocean. She adored her numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews so very much. She was a friend to many. She had a special and unique bond with each of them, they were her silver and gold. Prior to her retirement, she loved the daily opportunity to unite with her work family at NMPP Energy. They all brought brought joy and happiness to her working years. Beyond family and friends, Shari was a faithful child of God, avid reader, excellent cook, out of this world baker and all together incredible human being with many talents. Always smiling, she enjoyed life on the farm, camping, car rides through the countryside, going to movies, and attending all her grandchildren’s activities and events. Shari enjoyed life on Earth to the fullest, lived it generously and with no regret. She was preceded in death by, her infant daughter; parents, Ray Fischer and Jo Ann (Werner) Fischer; sisters, Wanda Sue (Fischer) Dorn and Sarah Jane Fischer; father-in-law, Lowell Schmidt; mother-in-law, Arlene (Harms) Schmidt; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Schmidt; brother-in-law, Gary Schmidt. Kay Jean Brown
Kay Jean Brown (Thompson) lost her battle with cancer on July 21, 2020. Kay is survived by her husband Roger, 3 children, Gary Brown (Wendy) of Lincoln, Kimberly Cover (Scott) of Littleton, Colorado, James Brown (Tracy) of Littleton, Colorado, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Kay was a 1956 graduate of Northeast High and she and Roger owned and operated Handyman True Value Hardware of Lincoln and Seward True Value of Seward for a number of years. After moving to Conifer, Colorado in 1983, they owned and operated Conifer Paint and Decorating and Aspen Park Paint and Decorating for 10 years. After “retiring” from that, Kay managed the craft department for Hobby Lobby in Littleton, Colorado for 10 years before moving back to Lincoln. Kay loved crafting, sewing, and spending time with her family which she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s name could be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or ASPCA (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
