Dennis Russell Hett
Dennis R. Hett (May 12, 1947 – October 3, 2020) was beloved by many. His kindness and generosity inevitably left everyone he met feeling better about themselves. This is a picture from when he served at the East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church in Vermont. It was a time that he remembered fondly. He is survived by his beloved wife Audrey Schneider, equally beloved son Ben Hett, and precious brothers Mel and Stan together with their families. Due to COVID-19 his Celebration of Life will be a private. It will be streamed so those who love him can be with us in spirit. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be sent either to St. Matthews’ Episcopal Church, 2325 S 24th St, Lincoln, NE 68502 or to the NAACP – Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest nonpartisan civil rights organization. Diann Marie Clark
Diann Marie Clark, 52, passed away Wednesday September 30th, 2020 peacefully at her home in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born August 27th, 1968 in Chadron, Nebraska to Norman Clark and Patsy Corbit. Diann was a strong willed single mother of two. But she wasn’t just a mother of two, but to all who entered her house and office. She was preceded in death by her mother Patsy, sister Sandy, brother Gary, and son Brandon. Diann was survived by Father Norman Clark his wife Patricia; Step brothers Michael and Bradly Reiners; Daughter Hannah and her Husband Roeby Hauf; Granddaughter Piper Hauf; many nieces and a nephew; and many many friends. Diann’s Memorial Service will be held Thursday October 8 at 11:00am at Elevate Church, 8251 Pioneers Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68506. Memorials to the family for future designation. Teresa Fern Kuenning
Teresa “Terri” Fern (Waline) Kuenning was born on January 11, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Earl and Veta Waline. At age 13 they moved to Lincoln, NE. She graduated from Northeast High School in the spring of 1963. She met the love of her life, while working at A&W that same year. She often said she knew she was going to marry him the night they met. And she was right! Rich and Terri Kuenning were married on July 18, 1964 at Havelock United Methodist Church. Together they welcomed three children. Terri had a love for life and enjoyed many activities including painting, clowning, traveling, reading sci-fi and playing games especially progressive rummy, and flower gardening her lilies. She taught Sunday school, was a cub scout leader, worked as a teller at several banks, and at Weight Watchers as a meeting leader. When her kids were growing up, she was known as “Mom Kuenning” and always had everyone’s favorite food and pop readily available, as well as she was someone to confide in. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She is survived by husband Richard, children Rick (Debbie) Kuenning, Troy (Krista) Kuenning and Tracy (Greg) Faust. Grandchildren: Dillon, Derrick (Bobbi) and Reilly Kuenning, Allison and Kara Kuenning, Karissa and Seth Faust. Great grandchildren Nicholas and Kylea. Brother Robert (Etta) Waline Senior. Sister-in-law Bonnie Graverholt. Brother-in-law Ronald (Phyllis) Kuenning. Many nephews, nieces and cousins. Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Veta Waline; parents-in-law, Ralph F. and Marie Kuenning; brothers, Donald, Benjamin and Dick; brothers-in-law, Martin Graverholt and Ralph D. Kuenning; nephew, Chris Graverholt A Celebration of Life will be held outside at the home of Troy Kuenning 2801 N. 78th at 2:00pm Saturday, October 3rd with Reverend Daryl Lauber officiating. Annette Jean Gifford
1940-2020 Annette Gifford (Hall) met the love of her life Dave in the bread aisle at Dave’s Shur Save in 1995. They spent many wonderful years together traveling, rock hunting, dancing, and clowning around. Annette loved to play bridge and made many amazing friends through out the years. She was an avid bicyclists and adventurer. She is survived by her husband Dave. Her 3 children Dave Geis, Holly Geis, Emily Lanik (Gregg) and her 3 grandchildren Jason Geis, Quinn Lanik, and Eve Lanik. She is also survived by her step children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her strength and kindness was epic!
