James Leonard Jungers

James L. Jungers, loving husband, father, and brother, passed away on March 4th, 2020.  He was surrounded by his loving family when he transferred into the arms of our Lord.

Jim is survived by his wife, Dona Jungers of Lincoln; son, James Jungers of Lincoln; son, Lonnie Jungers (and wife, Debbie) of Brandon MS; daughter, Julie Delp (and husband, Mark) of Lincoln; sister, Judy Baxter of Omaha; brother, John Jungers of Renton, Washington; grandson Ryan Jungers (and wife Janine) of Brandon MS; granddaughter Makayla Purvis (and husband, Justin) of Brandon MS; grandson, Spencer Delp (and wife, Rachel) of Lincoln; granddaughter, Cara Delp of Lincoln; great-grandson, Jaxon Jungers of Brandon, MS; great granddaughter Maya Jungers of Brandon MS; great grandson, Tucker Willis of Lincoln; Stepson, Jim Terrell (and wife, Marie) and their children, all of Lincoln; and step-grandchildren Stephenie Parker McClellen (and husband, Logan) of Lincoln, Nicole Terrell of Lincoln, Marilynn Parker of Lincoln, Bobbie Parker of Lincoln, and many step-great grandchildren.

Jim was a decorated Navy Vietnam Veteran, serving during wartime on the USS Hancock CVA-19 during operation Rolling Thunder.  He was awarded the expeditionary medal for his service to our Country.

Per Jim’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service.  Instead, there will be a private family celebrate of life event on Sunday.

William Brian Finter

William Brian Finter, known to friends and family as Brian, was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran and much loved family man.

He was born August 27, 1955 to Claudine Ernestine Whitesell and Charles William Finter in Independence, Missouri.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents and sister Denise Perryman. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Finter, Glenwood, IA; his first wife Lisa Major, Aurora, CO, and their two children Ashley (Nick) Kumpula, Lincoln, NE and Natalie (Roy) Erhart, Timnath, CO; brother and sister-in-law Chris and Cindy Finter, Mount Holly, NJ; many loving nieces and nephews, relatives, and many, many friends.

As an Air Force officer, he traveled across the world, spanning from 1982 to 2004. During his highly decorated and honorable career, he served as a B-52 Radar Navigator, Space Command Officer, and as the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron Commander at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, England. After 22 years of meritorious service, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. In his remaining years, he worked with his two best friends, Gap and Ralph, to create Spiral Communications, a technology company based in Southwest Iowa and Southeast Nebraska.

An internment is scheduled for Friday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138). All friends, family, and veterans are welcome to attend.

Wayne Robert Thrasher

June 14, 1956 – February 27, 2020

Wayne Robert Thrasher , 63, of Lincoln , passed away at The Monarch on February 27, 2020 after a long courageous battle with lung cancer.

Wayne was born on June 14, 1956 in Lincoln to Connally and Leona (Gausman) Thrasher. He was employed with NAI FMA Realty as a maintenance technician before he became disabled. An avid bowler for many years and loved to go fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Nancee Gardner; Step-father, Jerry Miller of Lincoln, NE; son, Avery (Emily) Thrasher of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Emily Thrasher of Lincoln; step-son Todd Krumm-Owens of Lincoln, NE; step-daughter Amanda (Dathan) Dubbs of Lincoln, NE; step-son, Sean Gardner of Fairmont, NE. Grandchildren; Rebel, Rogue, Harleigh, Danae, JoJo and Delaney; Brother, Tom (Dee) Thrasher of Las Vegas, NV; step-brothers David (Jerry) Miller, Mark Miller, both of Lincoln, NE. Loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by parents; grandparents; sister, Connie Snider.
