Pamela Kay Dils

featured image

Pamela Kay Dils passed away peacefully at home following a brave and valiant battle with breast cancer, with her loving daughter by her side at the age of 48 on January 28, 2021.

She was born on October 4th, 1972 in Lincoln, NE to Warren & Mary (Bowen) Dils. She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1990. On October 27, 1993 her daughter Morgan was born. She was Pam’s pride and joy! Pam, her sister Tammy, her mother Mary and Morgan made quite the team over the years.

When Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2014 the family vowed to fight with all they had. Pam went into remission, but it came back in 2019 and this time she was told that it was terminal. Even with that news Pam vowed to do whatever it took to be around for as long as she could for her daughter, sister and mother.

Pam had an amazing zest for life and loved being around family and the large extended family that her and Morgan acquired over the years. She cherished time with everyone in her life. Even with the pandemic this past year, Pam made sure to visit with as many people as she could. Those of us that know Pam know how quick-witted she was. She never lost her sense of humor.

Per Pam’s wishes, she did not want a funeral. The family is honoring her wishes and will be doing a celebration of life when it’s a bit warmer outside. We will keep everyone updated.

Since her daughter was the MOST important thing in her life, the family has asked that all memorials go to help Morgan in the difficult times coming ahead. Gas cards, grocery store gift certificates, etc can be made in Morgan Dil’s name and sent to Aspen Cremation Service, 4822 Cleveland Ave., Lincoln, NE 68504. Be sure to write “Dils Family” on the envelope.
