Harold A. Sandstede, born to Lawrence & Madge Sandstede, died in the comfort of hospice care with loving daughter and favorite dog by his side.

Harold is survived by daughters Kristin & Heather, grandchildren Natalie & Garrett and siblings
Jacque, (Roger), Jan (Ron), & Steve.

Harold briefly attended the Naval Academy and Augustana college prior to becoming a federal employee in Hebbronville, Texas.  He worked as an anti-smuggling agent in Kansas City, Missouri and retired from his post as a special agent in Lincoln, Nebraska.  After retirement, Harold enjoyed serving his community building homes, pruning trees and attending any event that involved his family, agriculture, antique tractors or a cup of black coffee.  He was loved fiercely and will be remembered as a charismatic, sharp-witted, chivalrous man whose family was always important to him.  Diligent worker, playful jokester, photographer, superb scrambled egg-maker, loving Dad, brother & ‘grouchy Grandpa’, Harold lives on in the hearts, minds & conversations of all who loved him.

The family would like to thank the teams at Bryan Hospital, Eastmont Senior living & The Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The care provided in the last several years is much appreciated.  They served not just as caretakers and healthcare workers, but also friends and family to our Dad and all the residents. We will always be grateful for their compassionate care, loving spirits and welcoming hearts.

A celebration of life will be scheduled later this year in Harold’s beloved Rock County, Minnesota.

Jim Lee Green, 82, passed away at his home January 30, 2021.

Born March 26, 1938 in Bengal, Oklahoma to Myrl (Mize) and Lewis Green, Jr., Jim graduated from Panola High School and eventually settled in Lincoln, Nebraska.  There he met and married Eunice Buck in 1960 and graduated from Union College in 1965 with a degree in Business Administration.  Eunice and Jim had 3 children, Stephen, David and Daina. After retiring from Union Drywall, where Jim worked for many years, he did maintenance work at his church, College View SDA Church, until his 2nd retirement. Although Jim lived in the city, he remained an Oklahoma country boy at heart.  His hobbies included playing his guitar, singing with friends, tending to and riding his horses, and visiting with everyone.  He dearly loved his family and especially enjoyed his granddaughter Meghan and great-granddaughter Signe. In the last year he found comfort in the kindness of his caregivers, especially “Dr.” Crystal Andersen.

Jim was preceded in death by his sister Donna Dodd and his son David.  Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eunice and children Stephen and Daina, son-in-law Shawn, granddaughters Meghan and Signe as well as siblings Bill Green, Pat Foster, Betty Robinson and their families.
