Ron J. Anderson

On November 10, 2021, while surrounded by his wife and their three children, Ron J. Anderson—devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and husband—passed peacefully and victoriously into eternal rest, and glory, by the redemptive and healing work of Jesus Christ.

Ron was born on December 11, 1956 to Bob and Maxine (Vaughan) Anderson.  He graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School, Wayne State College, and the University of Nebraska.  He enjoyed an enthusiasm for sports (wrestling, football, tennis and golf) throughout his life.  He found very rewarding his successful career as a counselor, trainer, human resources professional and business leader.  He loved the Lord.  He loved all of his family members and tried his best to be a good friend.  He will be dearly missed.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sheila (Marsh) Anderson; daughter, Kelli Joe (Ryan)—granddaughters, Cora and Willa Joe; daughter, Lindy Anderson—grandsons, Miles and Oliver Tinarwo; son, Tommy Anderson; sister, Linda Epler (Joe); sister, Jodell Pugsley (Bill); and brother, Bob Anderson (Karen); nieces, Heidi Topham (Scott), Susan Herold (Aaron), Lucy Schwerdtfegger (Dave), Megan Sundseth (Tyler), and Rachel Anderson; and, nephews, Steve Epler (Teri), Gary Bruns (Nikki) and Matthew Anderson.

Celebration of Life Service—Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30 AM to be held at Christ Place Church, 1111 Old Cheney Road, Lincoln NE  68512.

Mary Joyce Alloway-Herbek

April 7, 1940 to November 8, 2021

Preceded in death by Husband Roger Alloway; Son, Roger Allen Alloway; Father, Harold D. Long; Mother, Margaret A. Plock; and Step-father Leroy W. Plock.

She is survived by children Joyce (Roy) Harrington of Crete, Douglas Howe of Lincoln, Kenneth (Roxy) Howe of Crete, Robert (Linda) Howe of Saint Petersburg, FL, Eric Alloway of Malcolm, and Shawna Neujahr (daughter-in-law) Gibbon, 20 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Her siblings Elaine Scheil, Butch (Elizabeth) Long, Pamela (Paul) Schmitz and Leroy (Rhonda) Plock.

Mary grew up in McCool Junction and Fairmont, NE.  She spent most of her adult life in Hastings, where she worked at Great Plains Packaging, during those years she went back to school to earn her Associates Degree from Central Community College. Mary spent several years in Harvard before moving to Arizona, moving back to Malcolm a year ago.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, and socializing but most of all loved spending time with her family. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:30 at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE.  Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30 at United Church of Christ in Harvard, NE.  Memorials are in care of the family for future designation. (Feel free to wear casual attire.)

Robert Allen Stutheit

Robert Allen Stutheit born July 23rd 1939, passed away November 6th, 2021 at Bryan Memorial LGH East. He was 82 years old. 

Robert was born in Humboldt, Nebraska to Ed and Nadine Stutheit. He was a 1957 graduate of Humboldt High School. Throughout high school Robert was excellent football player and excelled at everything he did. After high school he moved to California for a short time. He also served in the Nebraska National Guard.

In August of 1960, he married his wife, Shirley. They had two children, Greg, and Teresa. Robert and Shirley lived various locations, however spent most of their married life in Lincoln. Robert was one of the original owners of Double B Mobile Homes located on West O Street in Lincoln. Robert sold many motorhomes around the Lincoln area. Robert was involved in camping and outdoors all his life! Robert continued his working career operating heavy equipment and dirt work with Hansen Construction in Emerald, NE. 

Robert enjoyed classic cars all his life. He was especially proud of his, 1951 Kaiser, which was his father’s car. He restored this car from the ground up and was so proud to have it back on the road. He showed cars in various car shows and attended parades with the Cruisin’ Classics Unit of the Sesostoris Shrine. Robert enjoyed going on car cruises and camping trips with his friends and family to locations all over Nebraska and surrounding areas. Robert loved to hunt, fish, boating and anything outdoors. 

Robert was a member of the Crusin’ Classics Unit of the Sesostris Shrine, Master Mason with Liberty Lodge 300, and Denton American Legion Post 355.  

Robert loved to work hard and play hard. He was never one to slow down too much. Robert and Shirley always liked to visit with friends at the local taverns. They enjoyed shuffleboard leagues back in the day at Merle’s Food and Drink in Emerald. Robert lived his life to the fullest, and was a great husband, father, brother, and friend to all that knew him.

Robert is proceeded in death by his parents: Ed and Nadine. Brother: Ralph. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley of Lincoln, son: Greg Stutheit, daughter: Teresa Lynch, both of Lincoln. brother: Roger (Carolyn) Stutheit, of Lincoln, sister: Carol (Wayne) Minchow, of Tecumseh. Sister in-law: Clara Stutheit, of Humboldt. Daughter in-law Paula (Dale) Lueders, of Lincoln. Grandchildren: Chad (Ashley) Stutheit, Mackenzie (Corey) Agnew, Jonna Lynch, Ali Bender all of Lincoln. Four great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. 

Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at Denton American Legion Post 355 on Saturday, November 20th from 12-3PM. Robert chose cremation, and a private burial will be held at later date.
