Patricia Plotnick
Patty Plotnick, 75, passed peacefully from this earth Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Patty was born Patricia Ann Schaefer to Rose and Vic Schaefer on November 2, 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Patty married Ron Plotnick on February 1, 1975. Patty had illustrious career including being the first camerawoman at NETV, and chairwoman for the League of Human Dignity, where she was also named Woman of the Year. Patty was also a corporate executive for numerous companies, the latest being Ameristar Casinos. Patty was preceded in death by her parents Rose and Vic Schaefer, her in-laws Bud She is survived by her husband Ron of Lincoln; daughters Chris Cox (Bob Bagwell) of Crete, Maralee (Jeff) Maldavs of Lincoln; grandchildren AJ Cox and Emily Maldavs of Lincoln and Carson Bagwell of Beatrice; sisters Susan (Bill) Kling of Marion, Iowa, Nancy (Mark) Hassler of Lincoln, and Mary (Gary) Rathje of Centennial, Colorado; Brother-in-Law Harvey (Beth) Plotnick, and Sister-in-law Eileen (Leonard) Terman. She will be fondly missed by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, and by countless friends. A private family celebration will be held later. Kenneth Clair Price
Kenneth Clair “Ken” Price, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, at CountryHouse in Lincoln. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1 from 5 to 7 PM at Southgate UMC. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 10:30 AM at Southgate UMC with time of luncheon and fellowship to follow. Ken was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 11, 1943, to Keener Isaiah and Clara May (Smock) Price. The family moved to Plattsmouth where he grew up and graduated from Plattsmouth High School. He attended Northwest Missouri State University and student taught at Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca schools where he continued to teach English and Speech for 32 years. He was united in marriage to Karen S Nutzman in August 1970 and to this union were born three children: Cynthia Sue, Kristi Kay and Craig Kenneth. They later divorced. Ken was married to Karen K Acree and they lived in Washington, KS. After her passing, he moved to Lincoln, NE, where Mary F. Hutson danced her way into his heart. After her passing, he dedicated his time to serving as a volunteer for AseraCare Hospice. Ken was a loving father, dedicated grandfather and friend to everyone he met. Ken is survived by: Daughter Rev. Cynthia (Klint) Stewart and granddaughters Isabelle Mae (fiancé Ryan Talkington) Stewart and Emma Katherine Stewart. Daughter Writer Kristi Kay (Tony) Kreifels and grandsons Christian Michael (fiancée Natalie Scheil)Taggart and Zachary Lukus Taggart and bonus grandchildren Rachel and Jackson Kreifels Son Sgt. Craig Kenneth (Andrea) Price and grandson Trenton Keener Price and granddaughter Taylor Lynn Price. Many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. He was a friend of Bill W. Dorothy B. Petersen
Dorothy Boeve Petersen, who was born May 20, 1951 to Dick and Jesse Boeve in Rock Rapids, Iowa, passed away in Lincoln, NE on May 13, 2022. She grew up on a farm in Iowa until 1967 when, after her father passed, she moved with her mother to live in Steen, Minnesota. Growing up on the farm gave her some of the best years in her life. She graduated from Hills Beaver Creek High School in Hills, Minnesota in 1969. She graduated from South Dakota State University with her BSN and MSN and practiced nursing for 42 years. In 1978, she was wed to Kris Petersen and through that union was born a daughter, Jennifer, and a son, Derek. She was blessed with many friendships along the way, for which she is forever grateful. Her greatest joys and challenges were her walk with Jesus Christ, her savior, and raising her children. Survivors and loved ones include: daughter, Jennifer Bossard (Ben); son, Derek Petersen (Julie); grandchildren Josiah, Jacob, Eli, Aubrie, and Everleigh; siblings Hendrene Van Whye, Jeanette Bleyenberg (Bill), Betty Elbers (Harold), Peter Boeve (Judy), and Josephine Nelson (Glenn); and sister in law Elsie Boeve. She was preceded in death by parents, Dick and Jessie Boeve; brother Eibert Boeve; and other loved ones. There will be two gatherings to honor and celebrate Dorothy’s life. Both will be times of fellowship and remembrance for friends and family. The first will be on Saturday, May 21 from 9-11am at Grace Chapel at 16th and A St in Lincoln, NE. Timothy William Preusker
Timothy William Preusker passed away surrounded by his family on April 21, 2022. Tim was born at home in Battle Creek, NE to William Gus and Sewerna Emelia Sophia (Rodekohr) Preusker on November 16, 1938. He grew up on a farm east of Battle Creek and attended St. John Lutheran School. After graduation from Battle Creek High School Tim entered the US Army and was stationed in Alaska. Tim met Marilyn Overhue of Osmond, NE and they married in Norfolk, NE on July 26, 1959. They settled in Norfolk where they were blessed with two children Tracy Joy and Todd Timothy. The family moved to St. Joseph, MO in 1970. Tim was a warehouse manager for Sherwood Medical for 35 years. When Tim retired, he and Marilyn moved to Lincoln, NE. to be closer to their family. Tim enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Pony Express Square Dance Club. He loved to golf and watch all things Husker. Tim’s greatest enjoyment came from attending the sporting and school events for his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Tim was a constant at these events and always had a smile on his face, a peppermint life saver, and positive words for his Grandchildren. His phone calls on your birthday were something we all looked forward to. After Marilyn passed away Tim was blessed to meet his very special friend Mary Nemec. Mary immediately became part of our family. They shared many of the same interests and Mary also became a fixture at the Grandkids and family events. Besides Mary, Tim is survived by his son Todd Timothy (Diane) Preusker of Lincoln, NE; siblings and in-laws, Twin brother Gerry (Karen) Preusker, Elaine Murphy, Joan (Rich) Otjen, Pete Smith, Phyliss Preusker; son-in-law Kevin (Kathy) Gabriel; Eight Grandchildren, Kyle Gabriel, Rachel (Gabriel) Weigman, Tyler and Erin Preusker, Tim and Tom Hurst, Suzanne (Chris) Burnett, Cindy Hurst; Great Grandchildren Karter and Kolton Gabriel, Olivia, Logan and Alexis Weigman, Ethan and Elia Preusker, Zoey, Ozzie and Izac Hurst, Hunter and Laila Hurst, Addison, Brayden, Callen Perry and Mackenzie Hurst; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marilyn; a daughter Tracy Gabriel; siblings and in-laws, Mart Preusker, Grace and Kenneth Osborne, Donna Smith, and Ivan Murphy. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday May 2nd. at St. John’s Cemetery in Battle Creek, NE. with reception to follow at St. John’s Church.
