Virginia Hernandez Owen

Virginia Hernandez Owen, age 96, was born to Sylvester and Sostenas (Godinez) Hernandez on June 13, 1925 in Wymore, Nebraska, and left this world August 7, 2021.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Chris Pinkston, son Robert (Sandy) Aguilar, brother John (Nancy) Hernandez, five grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, three brothers and her grandson Robert Aguilar, Jr.

Open house will be held Friday August 13 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Aspen Cremation Service; 4822 Cleveland Avenue, Lincoln, NE 68504.

Keith Alan Ozenbaugh

July 22, 1949 – June 9, 2021

Keith “Alan” Ozenbaugh 71, of Lincoln, Ne. passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2021 surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 22, 1949 to Keith and Ruth (Wright) Ozenbaugh. He grew up and graduated in Ohiowa, Nebraska. He was married to Kathy Warnke on October 10, 1970. They made their home in Denton, Nebraska for 17 years and had 3 children.

On May 30,1998 he married Debra Hammock. They were married until her passing in May 2008.

Alan, otherwise known as “Al” or “Bundy” worked in Parts, Sales and Service most of his life. Through the years he worked at Big “A” Auto Parts, Lewis Service Center, George Virus Implement, and Napa Auto Parts. He was on the Southwest Volunteer Fire Department and was a EMT for 4 years while he resided in Denton. He also had his hand in being a small business owner for 5 years owning Al’s Place in Ohiowa, Nebraska.

Al’s passions were definitely Husker Football and Nascar. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, woodworking, fishing, barbecuing, spending time with family and friends on the patio, creating “redneck” yard art, and watching Westerns on tv. He was a very proud grandfather. He was always cheering them on in person or from the sidelines.

Alan was preceded in death by his wife Deb Ozenbaugh, his parents Keith and Ruth, his infant sister Janet Rae, and his grandparents.

Survivors include daughter Allison (Dan) Grant of Auburn, NE, sons Matt Ozenbaugh (Lisa Zornes) of Omaha, NE and Travis Ozenbaugh (Tiffany Kaufman) of Lincoln, NE. Brother Steve Ozenbaugh of Ohiowa, NE. Grandchildren Darien, Collin and Trinity Grant all of Auburn, Dylan Ozenbaugh of Omaha, Kylie Connell of Nebraska City, and Gracie and Sabriel Ozenbaugh of Lincoln and Justin Smith of Lincoln. Honorary son Cory Day of Lincoln, NE, and many other family, neighbors and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Ohiowa Cemetery on June 19, 2021 at 11 am, with a luncheon to follow at the legion in Ohiowa, NE.

Nicole Jean Otto was survived by her children, Brandon Renaud, Andrew Renaud, Hailey Renaud; their father Danny Renaud; her son Gabriel Jensen; his father Jason Jensen; her parents Tim and Deb Otto; her sister Megan Otto; two grandmothers; her Godparents Allen Heimsoth and Tammy Case; Honorary Pallbearers, Troy Otto and Allen Heimsoth; along with several loving family members and friends.

Her passions in life included her children, gardening, baking, crafting and nursing. Her love and passions will continue to survive through those that love her.

The memorial service will be held on Monday February 8th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont St, Lincoln, NE; Followed by the graveside service at Fairview Cemetery, 84th and Adams, Lincoln, NE. Due to COVID, seating will be limited to family members and close friends. Masks will be required. There will be a live stream/recording for those unable to attend. This information will be shared when it’s available.

Leo Kenneth Obershaw

Leo K. Obershaw, age 78, passed away peacefully Thursday May 7, 2020,  in Lincoln Nebraska. Leo was born on January 9, 1942 in Oakdale, Nebraska to Oscar and Agnes (Sonnenfelt) Obershaw.

Prior to moving to Lincoln, Nebraska, Leo managed a grocery store for many years in Bloomfield, Nebraska. He enjoyed fishing, hunting , Bingo, playing cards and shooting pool. Leo loved to make people laugh. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Leo is survived by his daughter, Bernadine Havlicek (John) of Lincoln, Nebraska, son, Wade Obershaw (Kris) of Henderson, Nevada. Grandchildren Kenneth and Kelsie Havlicek of Lincoln, Nebraska, Curtis and Megan Obershaw of Henderson, Nevada. and great grandchildren Brayden and Deven Havlicek of Lincoln, Nebraska. and numerous family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leonard, Bob, Victor, Paul, sister Anne, and son, Jerold.

Leo will be deeply missed my many.
