Marcella “Marcy” N. Merrihew, 66, of Alliance, NE, passed away on June 26, 2018, with her family by her side.
She was born in Sidney, NE on April 9, 1952 to James and Gladys (Earnhard) Haskell. She was the youngest of five children. Marcy grew up on a farm by Lodgepole, NE. She attended Lodgepole High School and graduated from Chadron State College. On May 31, 1975 she was united in marriage to Dwight Neil Merrihew.
Marcy was a country school teacher that taught at Hemingford, District #44, District #40 and substituted at various schools in Box Butte County. She was a past member of the United Methodist Church and Jaycee Jills. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marcy and Neil had recently celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Survivors include three children: Mandy (Daniel) Rohrer of Hickman, NE, Megan (Phil) Bohlen of Memphis, NE and Jason (Dallas) of Aurora, CO; eight grandchildren, Makayla Rohrer, Carter Rohrer, Alicia Bohlen, Abbey Rohrer, Caleb Bohlen, Bryce Rohrer, Alex Rohrer and Layne Merrihew.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Jim and Gladys Haskell, sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Bob Mashek, brother Tom Haskell, and father in law Robert Merrihew.
Memorial Service will be held July 7, 2018 at 11am MST at the Alliance Methodist Church.
Burial of the urn will be 10am, July 8, at the Kowanda Cemetery – rural Oshkosh, NE.

September 23, 1930 – May 11, 2018 Robert grew up in Tulare, CA, the fourth of five sons of W.E. and Bula McCallister. After his graduation from high school, he attended College of the Sequoias and San Francisco State. He pursued the ministry at Iliff School of Theology and received a B.D. from Pacific School of Religion. He served the Methodist church in Stockton, St Helena and Mill Valley, CA. Bob then went on to pursue an MA and PhD at Northwestern. He held a variety of teaching and administrative positions at Baker University, Doane College, Fresno State, Missouri Valley College and St. Mary College (Professor Emeritus). He was instrumental in the development of the Doane-Lincoln program. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially Sequoia National Park in California. He loved music, hiking, reading and was an avid sports fan. He served as advisor to the Doane men’s basketball team during his tenure there. Survivors: son, Andy of Crete; daughter and son-in-law, Marti and Tim McKee, grandsons Alex and Ian, of Lincoln. Services will be held Thursday, May 17th at 10:30 AM, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln, Nebraska. Tevis McIntyre, 81, of Winner, SD passed away on March 30 in Lincoln, NE. Tevis was born October 12, 1936 to Dale and Betty McIntyre in Gregory, SD. He attended Gregory High School and Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated in 1954. Tevis majored in accounting at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. In 1957, Tevis moved to Denver, CO where he worked and continued his education. He was then hired by Boeing and worked in accounting in several locations including Grand Forks, ND, Cheyenne, WY, Rapid City, SD, Santa Maria, CA, and Washington, DC. In 1966, Tevis moved back to Gregory, South Dakota to work on the family farm before settling in Winner. Tevis was self-employed, owning a car wash and laundromat, and doing lawn maintenance. In December 1984, he began his long-term employment with the Winner Regional Hospital as a night watchman and in the maintenance department. On October 30, 2015, Tevis retired from the Winner hospital. Tevis enjoyed spending time with family, taking pictures, and collecting memorabilia. He was an avid traveler, visiting every state except Hawaii and Alaska, as well as travels to Canada and Mexico. He enjoyed attending the Sturgis Rally every summer and spending his winters in Arizona. Tevis was also a member of the Winner Historical Society. Family visitation on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Winner United Methodist Church in Winner, South Dakota. Memorial Service, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00am at the Winner United Methodist Church with Pastor John Britt. A luncheon to follow. December 29, 1960 – April 1, 2018 Jo Ann Morse was born December 29, 1960 in Neligh, NE. She grew up in Raeville, NE. She attended St. John Berchmans Grade School in Raeville and graduated in May 1979 from Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School in Elgin. Jo Ann served in the U.S. Army from November 1980 – February 1988 when she was honorably discharged. Jo Ann was employed with the State of Nebraska for 23.5 years, the last 9 years with the Nebraska State Patrol. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father John Greitens and brother Mark Henry. She is survived by her son Joshua Torres (wife Venessa & family), Lincoln; grandson Dominic Morse, Lincoln ; mother Mildred Greitens, Norfolk; sisters Mary Borer (husband Dan), Raymond and Susan Collins, Norfolk; brothers Will Greitens (wife Rose), Fremont and Tom Greitens (wife Deb), Lincoln; and life partner Ernest L. Murillo, Lincoln. A graveside Celebration of Life and committal service with military honors will be held at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery in Raeville, NE on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to family members which will be sent to a charity(ies) in the future in Jo Ann’s name.
