Carol Jean Miller

Carol Jean Miller (Day), known by most as Cari, was born in Barneston, Nebraska August 27th 1943 to Ray and Margaret Day. She was the third of four children (sister Mary Ellen and brothers Larry and David).

Cari was married to Earl Harris (1962 & 1982) and later married Jack Miller (October 4, 1988), widowed (April 23, 2014).

Cari worked as a bookkeeper for Harris Construction, State Republican Headquarters and held several other Office Manager positions. Cari later began her career as the Head of the Civil division clerical department for the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, where she worked for 20 plus years.

Cari loved all things bingo, so much so that she worked as a bingo caller for 25 plus years. She also loved to play bingo and pickle cards with her many many friends/bingo family. Keno was another passion of her’s as she worked as a Keno Writer first at Earl’s Tavern and then later on at Cappy’s.

Cari is preceded in death by her parents, her 2 brothers, a niece Tasha Day, her son Bradley Ray Harris, and her grandson Zachery Ryan Stearns.

She is survived by her sister Mary Ellen, son Rodney, daughters: Marilyn, Vicki and Nicole (son-in-law Randy), daughter-in-law Yan. Cari is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Please join us for a celebration of life service at Cappy’s Hotspot Bar and Grill, 5560 S 48th Lincoln, NE 68516, on Sunday November 6th from 2pm-5pm.

Memorials may be sent to Aspen Cremation & Burial Services, 4822 Cleveland Ave Lincoln, NE 68504, to be applied in the future as designated by the family.

Linda Marie Martinez

Our dearly beloved mother and grandmother, Linda Marie Martinez, born October 10, 1952, passed away peacefully September 10, 2022 at the age of 69.

She carried her spunky attitude and contagious laughter with her throughout her life and was always the life of the party. Her strength and courage was inspiring and admired by those around her. With her love of music and never ending dancing, she sure knew how to have a good time.

She was welcomed into God‘s Kingdom by her mother Jerry, her sisters Diane and Kathy, her brother Robert, her soulmate Joe Barela, and her grandson Kyle, among others who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Maria, Liza, Linda, Sam, Angela, her siblings, Debra, Sheila, Sandra, Barbara, Renee, George, her 12 grandchildren, Chanity, Chrystal, Jaden, Jared, Shawn, Brittnay, Ashly, Sierra, Haley, Savannah, Daniel, Roman, her 9 great-grandchildren, and countless friends.

She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Linda was taken too soon from our world. Her imprint of who she was will never leave. We will forever miss her.

Beulah Jane McClain

Beulah J. (Garrison) McClain entered into rest September 10, 2022 with family by her side.  She was born on December 5, 1931 to Hal and Josephine (Pierson) Garrison in Mt Grove, Mo.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Henry Schultz Lincoln, son-in-law Tim Cody, Tulsa, OK; granddaughters and their spouses, Sara and Michael Price, Kristen; and Dave Lorimor, Omaha, Misty Cody, Tulsa, OK; grandsons and their spouses, Matt and April Cody, Tulsa, Timmy and Misty Cody, Tulsa; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Price, McKenna  Price, Jackson Price, Lincoln, Carrisa Cody, Zach Cody, Braxton Cody, Tommy Cody, baby girl Cody due October, all of Tulsa.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, daughter Mary Kay Cody, sons Kenneth McClain and David McClain and special friend Richard “Bud” O’Hara.

A celebration of life with be held September 18, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at the Sesostris Shrine,  1050 Saltillo Rd, Roca, NE  68430.
