Marilyn Irene Jones

Marilyn Irene Jones 76, a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister left this world January 28, 2020. She entered this world September 14, 1943 to her parents Richard and Irene Bohaty in Schuyler Ne.

She is survived by her brothers Ronald and Randy Bohaty. Her 2 loving daughters Candace Young and Tamara Croghan and also her son Richard Jones.

The love that Marilyn had for her children was unconditional as well as being a huge Packers fan and her love for horses and food. Through out the years she watched her children grow up to become wonderful strong loving individuals with Big hearts.

Marilyn is also survived by her grandchildren Nathan Young, Wilbur Young and Tara Booton.

We all love Marilyn for the way and who she was. Marilyn was one of a kind and we will never forget all the precious memories and adventures we had with Marilyn. She helped each and everyone of us grow into who we are today. May she Rest In Peace and fly above in heaven with her angel sisters Lorraine and Koreda. Marilyn will forever be in our hearts. We love you.

Leonard W Jennings

Leonard Jennings was born in 1927 in Platteview, Colorado.   He was the third child born to Earl and Lulubelle Jennings.  He joined an older sister, Lucille, and an older brother, Earl.  After the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, a sister, Leona, was added to the family.

Leonard attended College View High school where he played football and ran track.   Leonard attended Wayne Normal College. Leonard continued his love of running most of his life.  When running was not an option, he became an avid biker.  His interests included painting, and classical music

Leonard worked at Safeway before a career with The United Way.  He was always available for volunteer work.

Leonard lived his last years at Tabitha of Lincoln.   He enjoyed being a part of The Martin House on campus, and had many friends there.

Leonard was preceded in death by both parents, and all his siblings.  He is survived by nieces and nephews.

Ronald “Ron” Leroy Jackson

Ronald LeRoy Jackson, age 69, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday morning August 6th 2019. Born July 17th 1950 in Lincoln, he was the son of the late Joan L. Bridges.

Ron was a respected bricklayer and had built many of the buildings and houses in Lincoln and the surrounding area. This included new builds and numerous repairs and updates. His favorite hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Ron is survived by his three sons, Brad Jackson of Colwich, Kansas, Brian and LuAnn Jackson of Tobias, Nebraska, and John and Trica Jackson of Cheney, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Matthew, Brianna, Brandon, Brigette, Keith, Wesley and Ashley; and one great grandson Santiago; sister Kelly; nieces and nephews and many loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Joan, brother Scott and son Matthew.

The family would like to give thanks to the special care that Ron received at Madonna St. Jane De Chantal and Aspen Cremation and Burial Service.

Ron’s celebration of life was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 17th, 2019 at Christ Place Church – Van Dorn, 5555 Roose St, Lincoln, NE 68506  with Pastor Lance Riley officiating. His ashes were spread privately by the immediate family at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, the family asked for memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Gabriel Isaac Jones

Gabriel Isaac Jones, 45, of Lincoln, NE passed to the Spirit World on Monday, June 24, 2019.

Gabe, or Sonny, as he was known as a child, was born on June 29, 1973 at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Gabe was half Choctaw Cherokee. His Indian name is Nitaniquoia – Growling Bear.

Even as a child, Gabe enjoyed acting singing and dance. While playing with his childhood friends, Gabe often made up stories for them to act out, like cowboys and Indians, or the six million dollar man! Gabe also went on trips with the youth group from the Church of the Nazarene while living in Grand Island, performing plays and skits. Gabe lived in California where he met Donna Scarantino. Gabe and Donna acted in, and directed many plays. Gabe returned to Lincoln and worked in the maintenance department on the East campus of the University of Nebraska.

Gabe was preceeded in death by his grandparents – Lloyd and Delores Keslar, father – David Jones, stepfather – Rick White, and aunt – LaVonne Ruley. Gabe is survived by his mother – LeIla White, sister – Davida TwoBulls, 4 nieces and nephews, and 2 great-nephews. Gabe was blessed in his life with a host of friends that loved him dearly.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 13th, 10:00 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church, 2045 S 44th St in Lincoln, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the family for future designation.
