Danny Milton Cade, 70, of Lincoln, went to be with our Savior on October 17, 2020. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30am, Friday, November 13, at Lincoln Berean Church, followed by a classic car/motorcycle procession (weather permitting) to The Shrine Center for a luncheon.

Danny was born in Maryville, MO on November 6, 1949. He spent his childhood years in Clarinda, IA before moving to Grand Island, NE when he was 15, later graduating from Grand Island Senior High. On May 20, 1972, Dan married his best friend, Pam Jensen. The two met when Pam worked as a medical assistant and took x-rays of Dan’s back.

Pam and Dan had two children, Jana and Chad. Jana married Craig Volzke and they had two daughters, Hadley and Bailee. Chad married Dawn Kieborz and they had a son, Kason and a daughter, MaKynlie.

Aside from the love of his family, Dan’s passion in life was the roar of an engine. His younger years were spent working alongside his dad at Roy Evans Chrysler Plymouth Dealership. This led to the building of late model race car chassis for Clayton Peterson Racing Products. “Big Dan the Used Car Man” also sold cars for Diers Motor Co. before opening Countryside Auto and Body Shop. He eventually moved to Lincoln, NE where he spent his days at car auctions wholesaling vehicles for his brother and their late dad. His other interests include spending summer weekends at the dirt track, with Pam by his side, watching their favorite drivers. “King Man”, was an avid fastpitch softball player for many years. He passed his softball wisdom onto both of his children, even coaching Jana’s team for a number of years.

When he wasn’t at the track or on the field, he was enjoying the freedom of the road on his Harley. “Nokee” was a member of the Sesostris Shrine Iron Nobles and Gun Club, and a member of the Rough Riders Motorcycle Club. The strong camaraderie he gained from his fellow members turned into a fierce brotherhood. Other activities Dan enjoyed were fishing, bowling, shooting pool and golf.

Nothing could ever compare to the time he spent with his four grandchildren and attending their assorted activities. When Dan walked into a room you were drawn to his stories and his genuine heart. He had an uncanny ability to make connections with people and become instant friends. Danny was whitty and full of one liners. He loved shenanigans, being ornery and making others laugh.

Dan is deeply missed and survived by his wife, Pam, their two children and four grandchildren, his brother, Randy Evans and family and sister, Kelly Evans and family. Dan is reunited in heaven with his parents, Roy and Deloris Evans.
