Darrell Bruce Brenneise, known as Bruce to many, was born on July 7, 1947 in Eureka, South Dakota. He spent his childhood living and working there on the family farm. His love for the farm beckoned his return to that farm for many years as a young adult. Being an entrepreneur, Bruce established the successful “Freewheeling Bike Shop” and the first “Mill” in Lincoln, Nebraska in the early 1970s. He was also a realtor in Lincoln. Bruce, an avid animal lover, enjoyed his dogs, Pinto and Luna. He loved traveling, especially to the warm climate of Costa Rica where he would reside for months at a time. He loved music –all genres, with jazz and blues topping the list. Jazz in June and the Zoo Bar were frequent destinations. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Travis) Martin, his son, Daniel Brenneise, his step-son Trevor Pitts, his granddaughters, Meighan Mertlik, Mikalah Mertlik, Miranda Martin, Mekinzie Martin, Kennah Pitts and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Elsie (Dufloth) Brenneise, and brother Terry Lee Brenneise. Cremation. No visitation. Celebration of life will be at later date. Reginald (Reg) Edward Bergmann was born on September 27th, 1953 in Auburn, Nebraska and passed away peacefully on the morning of March 12th, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. Reg is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 36 years Maria; his children Jason (Jennifer) Lewis, Ryan Bergmann, David (Jessica) Bergmann; his brother Marlin (Christina) Bergmann; his sister Linda Westlake; and his 5 grandchildren Jared and Jaden Lewis, and Harper, Kate, and Gavin Bergmann; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Reg is preceded in death by his parents Orville and Edith (Cindy) Bergmann, one brother Gordon Bergmann, and mother and father-in-law Dalton and Elizabeth (Betty) Marcelle. Reg attended Johnson-Brock High School and the University of Nebraska, and had a long career working in sales which allowed him to travel the country. He was a hard-working, dedicated, loyal, and loving man filled with kindness for everyone he met. He enjoyed spending his time traveling the world with his family, attending Nebraska football games with his boys, golfing, gardening and creating a sanctuary in his yard with his wife. He was a lover of animals, and most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Cremation. No visitation.
