Kay Jean Brown

Kay Jean Brown (Thompson) lost her battle with cancer on July 21, 2020.

Kay is survived by her husband Roger, 3 children, Gary Brown (Wendy) of Lincoln, Kimberly Cover (Scott) of Littleton, Colorado, James Brown (Tracy) of Littleton, Colorado, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Kay was a 1956 graduate of Northeast High and she and Roger owned and operated Handyman True Value Hardware of Lincoln and Seward True Value of Seward for a number of years. After moving to Conifer, Colorado in 1983, they owned and operated Conifer Paint and Decorating and Aspen Park Paint and Decorating for 10 years. After “retiring” from that, Kay managed the craft department for Hobby Lobby in Littleton, Colorado for 10 years before moving back to Lincoln. Kay loved crafting, sewing, and spending time with her family which she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s name could be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or ASPCA (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

William “Bill” Harold Berge

William “Bill” Berge age 65 passed away peacefully at his home in Lincoln, NE on July 14, 2020.

Bill is survived by his children Melissa(James) Friedrich of North Platte, NE; Meagan Hayes(Jeremy Andresen) and Robbie Berge all of Ashland, NE; grandchildren Lucas, Meleah, and Lyndee Friedrich; Macie, Hayden, and Pennie Hayes, and Dodge Schofield Berge; Mother Betty Kaupa and brother Martin”Brad” Berge of Lincoln, NE; nephew and niece Daniel and Micaela Berge; and great nephew Logick Berge; many other family and friends.

Bill enjoyed a good day at the horse races, hunting, fishing, or golfing with friends

A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 25th at the Ashland American Legion Club at 2pm.  Bill loved all Nebraska Athletics so we are asking you to wear your favorite “Husker Gear.”

Passed away on July 4, 2020.

Joe W Bashore of Lincoln NE was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Goodyear.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Connie Bashore, three children Jeff, Joey, and Jenny, sister Ellen Bashore Nisely, two granddaughters Rebecca and Raechel Bashore, and several nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed Nascar, camping, fishing, and boating with his family and friends.

Myrna Claire Becker

Passed away on June 24, 2020.

Myrna Claire Becker (Ross) was born in Rosebud, South Dakota 5-16-1936. She was the daughter of George Ross and Udine Moody. She grew up in Niobrara, spent some time in David City, but most of her life in Lincoln raising 5 boys.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and her 3 siblings.

Survived by sons John R. Novak, David W. Novak, Michael D. Novak, Stephen R. Novak, Douglas J. Novak, Deborah Becker, Jason Becker, and Morgan Johnson along with their spouses; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mom enjoyed many happy years with the love of her life, Robert Becker.

We love you, and will miss you. Rest in peace Mom.
