Hastings resident Teresa A. (Ejlersen) Tesdahl passed away on Monday morning December 10th, 2018 at the age of 58. She had been receiving care through Tabitha Hospice while residing at The Ambassador nursing facility in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Prior to this she had made her home in Hastings where she had lived for many years. Teresa was born January 10th, 1960 in Hastings, NE but lived her early years in Kearney before her family moved to Harvard Nebraska where she graduated from Harvard High School in 1979. Afterwards she attended Central Community College in Hastings where she received an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
Shortly after graduation she moved to Rawlins, Wyoming and worked for the Head Start program mainly caring for special needs children. A career move to Las Vegas, Nevada found her working for the Clark County School District as a para-educator and she remained and enjoyed living in Las Vegas for eight years total.
During this time she met Floyd Tesdahl. They married and a precious son, Dustin, was born on June 16, 1994. Dustin preceded his mother in death on September 5, 2012 when he passed away after a school bus accident while a student at Blue Hill High School. Teresa has missed him dearly since that day but has now joined him in the arms of her heavenly Father for eternity. Teresa’s father Kenneth Ejlersen also preceded her in death.
Remaining family include her loving mother. Patricia Lieb of Harvard, NE, sisters Janet Ejlersen of Beatrice, NE, LaTrisia (Ejlersen) Stull and husband Patrick of Lincoln, NE and brother Marius Ejlersen of Colorado. One niece Holly (Stull) Leth and nephews Shea & Clayton Stull and Jeremy and Josh Ejlersen will fondly remember her. She will be greatly missed by all but they are comforted to know she is now at peace and experiencing complete joy in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ.
A memorial service was held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont, NE on Saturday, December 29th at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ronald Kuehner officiating.
