Ronald Lewis Birchard Jr.

Ronald L. Birchard, Jr, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. He was born to Ronald and Margaret Birchard on April 18, 1947 in Binghamton, NY, where he grew up, and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Came back and worked for IBM for several years and moved to Nebraska in 1991, where he retired from Decision One in 2014. In his retirement he enjoyed grilling, gardening, yard work and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed following the Nebraska Husker football and volleyball teams.
He is survived by his wife Delaine, of 46 years and son Nicholas of Lincoln. 3 granddaughters, Torrin Boyer of Colombus, NE, Avery Birchard of Independence, MO, and Kya Birchard of Lincoln.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
