Robert Paul Schwarck

Robert P Schwarck passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026 while under the care of the Hospice nurses and staff at the Grace Space and St Croix Hospice.
Rob was born in Lincoln Nebraska on March 3, 1954 and lived in Lincoln most of his life. The last several years, Rob enjoyed living a quiet life in Brownville NE. He loved working on projects at his historic house. He had a lifelong passion of gardening and always grew Zinnias and usually had an envious crop of tomatoes.
Rob had a love for dogs which started when his brother Larry gave him his first dog, Lady. He was never without a dog or two, or sometimes three, the rest of his life. The saying, “Love me, love my Dog” was very much Rob. He never had a friend that didn’t love dogs.
Rob spent his adult life as a Concrete Finisher and was an artist of concrete. He worked for various employers and also some on his own. The job took a toll on his knees and back which he paid for later in life.
Rob was married to Pam for 38 years. They enjoyed their dogs, their lives together and spent countless weekends and evenings with their good friends.
Left to mourn Rob are his sister Vicki (Larry) Austin of Lincoln, brother Larry (Blanche) Schwarck of Arizona, numerous nieces and nephews, former sisters in law and lots of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Schwarck and his mother Virginia Katula. Preceded in death were Rob’s two good friends, Tim Thallas and Doug Giebelhaus. The three of them shared a love of fishing and having a great time. Also preceded in death by his Golden Retrievers, Gordon Setters, an English Setter and Black Labs.
Rob endured three different cancers over the past nine years and numerous treatments and surgeries. He was a true Warrior to the end. Many thanks to the PC (Prostate Cancer) Tribe which was there for him. He is now free of pain. Special thanks to the caregivers from St Croix Hospice and The Grace Space. Many thanks to Kathy Kitchen for being such a light in Rob’s life. very huge thank you to Rob’s good friend, Ron Martin, for all he has done over the years for Rob and his great friendship. A friend like no other.
