Patricia Faye Spencer

Patricia Faye (Neneman) Spencer, 70, died May 2, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born October 26, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Ed “Babe” and Lois (Byers) Neneman. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Pat is lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Dave Spencer, their sons Ben Spencer of Merriam, Kansas and Nick Spencer of Lincoln; her brothers Ed “Babe” Neneman, Jr. of Polebridge, Montana, Joe (Connie) Neneman of Gardner, Kansas, Jim (Carol) Neneman of North Bend, Nebraska, and Terry (Karen) Neneman of Lanesboro, Minnesota and their families; in-laws and their families; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends from all walks of life.
The family moved to North Bend, Nebraska in 1970. Pat graduated from North Bend Central High School in 1973 and received a BS in Physical Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1977. After two years teaching PE and coaching volleyball in Bancroft and Louisville, Nebraska, she transitioned to bookkeeping at Miller & Paine department store, The Lexington Assisted Living Center, and other firms. At the same time, she was also the wrangler and trail guide at YMCA’s Camp Kitaki, an exercise instructor at the YWCA and YMCA, a licensed massage therapist, and the Nebraska Cornhusker volleyball scorekeeper for 39 years, including scoring five NCAA Championships in Omaha.
Pat enjoyed reading, Husker sports, playing pitch, cribbage, and board games; pickleball, volleyball, and softball; biking and massaging at BRAN and TDN; bowling, including a trip to Nationals in Salt Lake City; swimming, riding horses, watching Hallmark movies, and connecting with her family, friends, and colleagues.
She gave so much of herself to others, in big and small ways. Her laugh and bright smile will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Lincoln Fire Fighter’s Reception Hall at 241 Victory Lane in Lincoln. It will be an open house from 3:30 to 6:30 pm with a program beginning at 4:30 during which friends and family are invited to share memories, songs, poems, and prayers. Refreshments only. Celebrants are welcome to contribute homemade Chex/party mix for the snack bar. Casual dress.
