Pamela Sue Roesler

Pamela Sue Roesler was born on March 5, 1952, in Hebron, Nebraska, to Francis (Stitch) Roesler, and was formally adopted by her Step Father, Lawrence Roesler. She graduated Scribner High School in 1970, and attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration in 1975. After college Pam travelled Europe with her parents, stopping in France to see the Cathedrale Notre-Dame, the castles in Germany, and The Czech Republic. She later went on to work for the Nebraska Commission for the Blind from 1980 to 1990, and then she worked for the State of Nebraska as an auditor, managing the state’s budget and grants up until 2005.
In 1991, Pamela traveled to Romania to adopt her eldest daughter Danica, and in 1996, she went back to adopt her youngest daughter Marissa. While raising two daughters as a single parent by choice, she passed on her love of animals, cooking, and travel. She hosted barbecues for Danica’s soccer team, chaperoned field trips, and never said no to a sleep over. She willingly rescued puppies and kittens, and attended countless school music concerts, plays, soccer tournaments, Girl Scout meetings, Job’s Daughter events for Marissa, and any other function the girls were apart of.
You could always find her packing up a tote bag with all sorts of snacks, sunblock, or crosswords during swim meets, soccer tournaments, or music lessons, lounging in the recliner reading a murder mystery, or watching a Hallmark movie. That is if she wasn’t outside grilling (and watching the girls show her high they could jump on the trampoline) or cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers Football team. Pam loved the holidays, putting out fake spiders and witches on the front porch, with ghosts and fake skeletons in the yard, to playing Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving while making the house smell of Christmas cookies and gumbo. Pam was also a collector of Star Trek Memorabilia, Carnival Glass, Antiques, Gem Stones, and records.
As a mother she taught her daughters kindness by opening her home and sharing a meal with anyone who came through door. Pamela championed carpools, and finding a way to help others in anyway she could. Whether it be a second pair of eyes while car shopping, or being a trusted confidant to someone needing to vent. She showed them how to persevere in tough times, and how to soak up the good times.
Pamela Roesler passed away on the morning of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, and with that she will be remembered for her sense of independence, compassion, wits, and courage.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Francis (Stitch) Roesler, and, Lawrence Roesler, and is survived by her eldest daughter Danica Parsley, her two grandchildren Riley and Colin Parsley), and her youngest daughter Marissa Roesler.
