Lissa Kaye Smith

Lissa Kaye (Becker) Smith, born April 11, 1965, passed away on March 13, 2026 at the age of 60.
Lissa was an extraordinary wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, niece, cousin, and a friend to all. She had a wonderful childhood growing up around her beloved family in her hometown, Lincoln, Nebraska. Later on, she met the love of her life and husband, Curtis, who was by her side until her last breath.
She loved travelling, attending concerts (especially Chicago and Garth Brooks), talking to her grandchildren, and simply spending quality time at the end of the day watching her favorite shows with her husband.
As a daughter, Lissa was kind and brave. She had the demeanor of a kitten, but the heart of a Lion. She navigated the adversities of life with admirable strength.
As a mother, Lissa showed her daughter true, unconditional love. She taught her to be strong, but to show and nurture love. That it is like a bed of flowers, if you water it, they will grow and flourish. She was playful too, always looking forward to a good April Fools Day prank.
Everyone who knew Lissa, even animals, could see and feel her pure heart. She is survived by her husband, Curtis, her mother, Kathie, her daughter, Natasha, and her grandchildren, Braylon and Anthony.
A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon-4:00pm Saturday, April 18th at the Isles Reception Hall located at 6233 Havelock Avenue, Lincoln, NE 68507

I’m so sorry for the loss of beautiful Lissa. Condolences to Curt, Natasha & Kathie. I really enjoyed every minute that I was able to spend with her. She was such a fun, wonderful person. She will be missed greatly.
So sorry for your heartache.
I am truly sorry to hear the news of Lissa’s passing. I went to school with Lissa at Helen Hyatt. Several sleep overs at my house were full of laughter and pranks. I pray her fun spirit lives on forever in those who loved her
