Lawrence (Larry) Vedsted of Lincoln, passed away Dec 30 at the age of 86. He was born in Omaha to Emmett and Helen (Spearman) Vedsted. He graduated from Seward HS in 1955. After a year at Dana College, he spent 3 years in the Army, spending most of that time in Germany.  He retired from Case/New Holland after 32 years. Larry and his wife, Trudy, then became full time RVers and traveled extensively over the next 13 years, settling in his beloved Ozarks, after which he came back to Lincoln to be closer to family.

Larry is survived by wife Trudy, the love of his life, for 51 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Becky (Chuck) Wagner, St Libory, and Cathy Schrock, Lincoln. Two grandsons Rusty (Julie) Hatch, Grand Island, and Jason Hatch, Aurora. Five great grandchildren, Nathan (Nicole) Hatch, Omaha, Alyssa (Hunter) Friend, Emporia KS, Breckin Hatch, Aurora, Megan Hatch, Lincoln, and Madison Hatch, Grand Island, great great grandson Griffin, Omaha.
