Kim Rod Johnson, 77, passed away June 21, 2026 in Lincoln, Nebraska where he was living at The Waterford care facility.  Kim was born in Holdrege, Nebraska July 15, 1948 to Patricia Ann Jordan and Rodney Roy Johnson, all of Holdrege. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother Phyllis Winquest Johnson. He is survived by his brother Ed Johnson (Linda) of St. George, Utah and step-sisters Julie Sand (Roger) and Mary Jane Winquest of Lincoln and Joyce Olsen (Clark) of Bellevue, Washington as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kim was a 1966 graduate of Holdrege High School and received his undergraduate degree from Kearney State College.  He served in the army in Germany.  He earned his Master’s degree from Portland State University and lived most of his adult life in Portland where he worked in the restaurant business, pursued his passion of helping others through counseling, and became a prolific tennis player.

Kim dedicated himself to the Lord and began his ministry as an evangelist ministering on the street, in prisons, churches and building relationships with a wide variety of people. Beginning in 2004, a ministry assignment took him to Switzerland, where he taught a prophetic course for a few weeks. He soon formed friendships and he was invited back for many years to speak at schools, confirmation classes, private homes, various churches and therapeutic facilities. In his simple, humble, and humorous manner, he testified to God’s transforming power and ministered prophetically.

Kim will be forever missed by his family and friends and all who have been impacted by his life.  A graveside service in Holdrege is pending.
