Kevin D. LaPage, “Kevbo”, 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Born August 18, 1960, in San Francisco, CA, to Roger and Janet LaPage, Kevin was raised in Lincoln, NE, and graduated from Waverly High School in Waverly, NE. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1980 and entered active duty in 1981.

After his service in the Air Force, Kevin held various jobs in the Lincoln, NE area before pursuing a career as a union electrician. He worked at Gregg Electric Company and was part of the IBEW Local 265 family for 27 years. In the final stage of his career, he became self-employed and continued his work with local businesses, spending much of his time with Speedway Motors. He retired in 2025 to devote more time to the hobbies he loved.

In retirement, he enjoyed restoring cars, building projects, playing guitar, and fixing anything that needed repair. He especially cherished time spent with animals, his “grand dogs”, as he lovingly called them, and most of all, his only granddaughter, Paisley. Together, they enjoyed tending to animals at ASAP Farm, catching bullfrogs, taking rides on the paddle boat, and attending her school and sporting events.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tanya; his loyal dog, Healer, “Buddies”; daughter, Sonny (Kip) Lippold; son, Seth (Alyssa) LaPage; granddaughter, Paisley LaPage; his late father’s surviving spouse, Wanda LaPage; sister, Melody (Alan) Gagner; and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Janet LaPage. He was joined in death on May 10th, 2026, by his first cousin Reed LaPage.

Per Kevin’s request, no services will be held.

thinking of you guys and sending so much love and support!! I will miss “harassing” you dad and hearing the latest Paisley updates. My favorite memories of your dad is him telling me and showing pictures on that darn small outdated flip phone (lol) of the VW bus and him helping Seth build the house and property, he was so proud of that!! love you guys!!!

Uncle Kevin had a way of always making me feel seen and heard at times when I felt invisible. Even though I was not blood related he never treated me like I wasn’t. I could always count on Uncle Kevin for a ride home from family events when I wanted to leave early before I trully knew the value of family. He had great taste in music. I will always remember him blasting classic rock and singing at the top of his lungs. I will miss Uncle Kevin’s humor and jokes that helped lighten any moods I may have been in. Rest easy uncle Kevin. You were loved and you will be remembered with good memories. I love you Seth, Tanya, Sonny, Paisley, Kip, Alyssa, and dogs. My thoughts and condolences are with you guys.

Well dad….its been 1 week. Someday I will be joining you and see what you have built for everyone, what cars you have been working on, and what that world is like you are in. I knew I would be without you at some point but man not this early. Thank you for everything you have done for our family and I dont think you really know what that meant to us fully. I got it from here!
    Love ya,

    Kevin,

You were a cool neighbor, willing to help with things you didn’t have to, great conversations over the shared love of Volkswagens.

We all have our demons, some times it takes you too soon.

    You will be missed.

Kevin’s family: we’re just up the hill if you need anything, you’re great people too. Sorry for the loss and everything that comes with it. Let us know if you need anything, even if its bringing carryout from Lincoln.

I don’t have the words to describe how sorry I am Tanya, Sonny, Seth, and Paisley. Spending almost everyday with Kevbo over the past 27 years I got to see, hear, and of course see plenty of pictures daily of his love for all of you. He was one of the smartest guys I have known when it came to electrical, mechanical and just general construction.. I think back at all the traveling we did across the country for Speedway doing a multitude of projects. Always having fun along the way.
He was the only contractor I knew that would show up for work at 7:00 with his guitar and play a couple riffs before work started.
Jackie and I will miss our friend Kevbo and big hugs to all his family.

Well Kev, I never ever dreamed I would be writing this now! You and your fam have always been there for me and took me in when I was at my low. I can never ever thank you enough for all you did for me and my boys! I know we will meet again at a later time, until then I promise to look over the fam! Love you Kev always and forever! Love Kesh

    Kevin,
You will be missed. Thank you for taking interest in my boys sports. Dillons HS football career to Anthonys basketball & HS soccer career. I enjoyed the talks. I will miss the Hello George, from across the street. Until we meet again.

Kevin, where to begin. So many memories shared between all the vacations and staying with you and Tanya when you were in the service. I wasn’t just Tanya’s baby sis tagging along but another member of the family. You always made sure I was never left out. I can’t forget about all the rides you took Cierra and Landon on in the VW bus. Keep looking over us all❤️❤️

Kevbo, so saddened to read of your passing. You were always kind to me, going back to the Carol Wright days and then again when DHHS moved out to the Speedway building. Rest easy. Peace to his family. Michelle Schreiber
