Joyce Ann Ozolins

featured image

Joyce lost her battle with brain cancer on 3-15-20, but she never quit fighting. She married the love of her life, John, on 4-19-74. They were also best friends. Joyce had only one child, her daughter, and one grandson, who she loved to spoil. Joyce spent all her time devoted to her family. She was the ultimate skateboard Mom and Grandma, and proud soccer Grandma, supporting all of her daughter’s and grandson’s interests. Joyce loved nurturing and being with family above all else.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Betty Hrdlicka.

She is survived by husband John, daughter Jasmin, grandson Zerano, sister Sandy, and brother Roger.

Memorial contributions can be made to grandson’s college fund or American Brain Tumor Association.

You have my sympathy at the loss of your wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Joyce and I graduated from Dorchester in 1968. Prayers for all at your loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. Sandy and I were DHS classmates from kindergarten through high school and I knew Joyce growing up. My heart goes out to the whole family at this time.

    Mom,
Another anniversary without you is coming and I miss you so much. I can’t thank you enough for all of the wonderful things you instilled in me and Zerano, teaching the beauty, value and uniqueness of thrifting and second hand items is what has shaped my entire life. You were the most caring and loving person I’ve ever known. Listening to your records shaped my life. Watching you get ready every decade, I wanted to be you. You were my idol and always will be my inspiration forever. I love you so much and I miss you so much. When I hear the Moody Blues, The Beatles or The Dave Clark Five, I know you’re with me. I love you forever and never forget you .
