Joann Emily Macomb

Joann Emily Macomb died on 31 January 2025 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was born on 7 June 1938 in Lakota, North Dakota, to Emil Pic and Jennie (Kalas) Pic.

Joann was a wonderful cook and loved to make kolaches, dumplings, and cookies.  Joann loved to garden, craft, sew, crochet, and quilt.  Joann held a life time membership in Eastern Star, serving in chapters in Nebraska and Washington.  She was active in Jobs Daughters and served as a den mother for Cub Scouts.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, her son Rodney Smith of Acton, Mass., her sister Mae Hall of Medford, Or.

Joann is survived by her sister Grace Sharp of Bloomington, Mn., her son: Russ Smith of Walton, Ne., five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Joann will be missed by many.
