It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jacob, who left this world on August 16, 2026. Born on June 3, 1989, in Torrance, Ca. Jacob was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known for his generous spirit and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Jacob was a cherished son of Ray Martin and the late Saundra Martin, who predeceased him. He is survived by his loving father, Ray, and his siblings, brothers Justin Martin and Joshua Martin, and sisters Sarah Martin and Randi Harney. Jacob was an uncle in the truest sense, showering his many nieces and nephews with love and laughter. His goddaughter, Avery Mowrey, held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind a tapestry of friends and family who were touched by his special and loving spirit.

A proud graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School, Jacob carried the pride of his education into every endeavor he undertook. His life was marked by a dedication to family and friends, and he was known for his readiness to lend a helping hand. Those who knew Jacob will forever remember his infectious smile and the kindness that radiated from him.

A service to celebrate Jacob’s life will be held on September 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Lincoln Station Great Hall, located at 201 N 7th St. All who knew and loved Jacob are welcome to attend and honor his memory.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Premier Catering for their support during this difficult time. Jacob’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will be cherished forever.

You will be so missed and you were loved by so many. It’s definitely not going to be the same in the “hood” without you in it. I hope you are having a heck of a party with your Mom, Nick and the other friends and family you reconnected with there. Rest in peace Jacob and sure love you

I met Jacob in high school, then working at piezanos. He always made the environment we were in warm and it was always a delight when we crossed paths again. As I’ve thought about all the loss of many friends in this last almost two decades the theme I see is those with the biggest hearts and warm hugs have gone into the light. It doesn’t make the grief any easier but it gives me hope in believing that maybe the shortness of their lives was to shed as much light as possible and maybe they had to go back into the light to recharge only to help the next generation of lives they touch. Sending all my light and love to your family.

Sending deep condolences and love to Jacob’s family and loved ones. I went to middle school with him and while our paths didn’t cross as adults, I remember him well for his bright smile and constant kindness. I am deeply sorry to hear of Jacob’s passing. He was a diamond in the rough. Rest in peace, Jacob.
