Irvin “David” Weaver, 54, of Milford, NE, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2026, at Bryan Hospital in Lincoln, NE. He was born on September 2, 1971, to Clearance Weaver Sr and Helen Hostetler.

Irvin went by his middle name “David”.  David grew up in northern Indiana; Goshen was his hometown but spent his High School years in Woodburn, IN.  He graduated from Woodburn High School in 1990 and attended Lake James Christian College for a few years.  David moved to Lincoln, NE in 2007.  David worked various jobs including Valentino’s Grand Buffet, various manufacturing jobs, tree trimming services and lastly a Sanitation Collector at Bel-Con Refuse.

He was a dedicated attendee of Grace Missionary Church in Milford, NE. David was passionate about horses, football, attending concerts, and especially dogs. He was also a devoted supporter of his family, particularly enjoying watching his brother, William Weaver, and nephew, Zach Weaver, play slow-pitch softball. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

David is survived by brothers, Norman (Maria) Weaver, Goshen, IN; Clarence Jr, Goshen, IN; William (Teresa) Weaver, Lincoln, NE; and Jeff Hostetler (Warsaw, NY).  Sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Slocum, Fort Wayne, IN; and Sharon Bontrager, Shipshewana, IN.  He has 17 nieces and nephews: many great nieces and nephews, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

David is proceeded in death by his parents, Clarence Weaver Sr, Helen Hostelter, brother, Wilmer Weaver, his Grandparents, David and Lizzie Hostetler and Irvin and Mary Weaver.

David’s absence leaves a great void on the lives of those who all knew and loved him very much.  David’s kindness, generosity, and love for family and friends left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.  Rest in peace, David.  You will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of David’s life will be 10 am September 5, 2026, at Grace Missionary Church, 501 Fairway Dr, Milford, NE, with a luncheon following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for the medical and funeral expenses.
