He also leaves behind a sister, Sandy Mueller of Holdrege and two brothers, Tim Jensen (Patty) of Lincoln and Kim Jensen (Lisa) of Eagle, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Violet (Schurman) Jensen and brother, Jerry Jensen. He will be remembered for the family he loved and the mark he left on everyone who knew him.

Condolences for Gary L. Jensen
I enjoyed coffee / breakfast with Gary on a regular basis. Played softball with him and had great memories with he and Imel boys. Rest in peace my friend and God Bless his family.
Great memories with Gary and his siblings at Grandpa and Grandma Jensens farm, and all the cousins. Watching as his family grew and listening to his golfing stories. He will be missed. My condolences to his family!
Back in high school, Gary was my best friend. We were buddies in Boy Scouts and the two of us hiked all day to Sacramento and back (late at night!) to get our Hiking merit badge. We also braved a blasting head wind up almost up to I-80 and then joyfully coasted back, all to get the Cycling merit badge. He and I would camp out at my folks’ farm, and he practiced his track and field skills on our huge rope swing. He was a great fan of Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. I was happy to be HHS yearbook photographer on the floor of the UNL Coliseum to capture the state basketball championship and see him cut down the net. Gary, you will live on in my memory.
So sad to hear of Gary’s death. Miss seeing him running around in his car.
To our cousins Aimee, Nicole, and Beth, We are so sorry for the loss of your father. Please know that our hearts are with you during this difficult time. We are thinking of you all and sending love, comfort, and strength as you navigate this loss.
Love,
The Damrows
Andy, Anthony, Adam & Kimberly (Shursen)
Sorry for your loss. He was one of my very best friends… we grew up together living only a block apart.. and of course playing sports together was amazing. he was a big reason why we won the state championship… i believe he scored 21 points in the final game which took alot of pressure off me. in the following years we seemed to find each other to watch state bball games together. yep i am honored to say he was a great friend and will be missed by all of his family. gods blessing to all the family. ivan young
