It is sad to hear of the passing of one of our former parishioners, Dennis Alfrey. Our condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues, and especially to our parishioners who served alongside him/received his ushering ministry on many a Sunday morning. Dennis – I have such fond memories of our days at KCAI. You always had creative ideas and strove to express them through your images.
I pulled out a photograph the other day that you made and gave me. You took it down on Cape Cod. We were in Ptown and having lobsters and fish and chips and you made a photograph that truly captured the moment and atmosphere of the place. It brought back fond memories of us camping in New England and Colorado too. I loved visiting you in your hometown and having you show me all around.
I’ll miss our phone calls and hearing your laughter. Your heart was full of kindness and that I know will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved you.

Thinking of you my friend, love Aileen

Dennis came with a group of St. Mark’s on the Campus to a retreat at the St. Benedict Center in Schuyler. It was probably 2005? I appreciated his thoughtfulness. I’m sad to hear of his death.
