Debra Kay Shepard (Leazer), 67, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on July 20, 2026.

Debra was born on May 10, 1959, in Marlborough, Massachusetts, to Robert Paul Leazer and Maxine Faye Leazer (Thaller). She was raised in Lincoln and built a life centered around hard work and the people she loved.

She is survived by her children, Sarah (Brian) Walker and Tyler Shepard; her granddaughters, Kayleigh Gropp, Faithren Miller, and Lydia Shepard; her step-granddaughter, Aubry Walker; her sister, Janet (Tim) Haver; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her partner, Adolph “Junior” Dudek, her parents, and her brothers, Michael Leazer and Robert Leazer.

Debra spent her life working in food service and was a dedicated employee of Casey’s. She loved spending time outdoors, whether working in the yard, relaxing at the lake, or casting a fishing line. Known for her quick wit and unmistakable smart-aleck sense of humor, Debra could always make people laugh. Beneath that playful personality was someone who would do anything for her family and friends, and her love and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Though she is gone, the love, laughter, and memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Branched Oak Lake on October 10, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
