David B. Kreifels, 67, of Bennet, Nebraska, passed away on August 21, 2026.  Born on May 12, 1959, to Marvin E. (Skip) and Patricia G. (Pat) (Kramer) Kreifels.  After living in Lincoln until he was 5, he spent the remainder of his life in Bennet, where he became very well-known through his minibikes, three-wheelers and motorcycles.

Unable to finish high school with his class due to health problems, he completed his GED and received an associate degree in small engine repair through Southeast Community College, where he served on several advisory committees.

Following graduation from SCC, Dave began his working career at Jericho Motors, later becoming Star City Motor, where he was the Parts Manager.  He thoroughly enjoyed his job and made many lifelong friends through his time working.  Unfortunately, health issues forced him to end his career long before he wanted.  Dave’s love of motorcycles didn’t end when he retired. He continued to ride, also helping his friends and nephews and great nephews in their pursuit of riding.  He was a reference when someone had issues with a bike, three-wheeler, etc. and many times loaned them the tools they needed to fix the problem. While Dave struggled with health issues his entire life, his zest for life and determination were never affected.  He lived life to the fullest.

Dave is survived by his mother, Pat Kreifels, sisters Sheri (Dale) Smith and Linda (Randy) Weideman, best friend Duncan (Grace) Ellis, nephews and niece Tyson (Lillie) Chambers, Brandt (Amy) Weatherl, Cody (Jamie) Chambers, Jessica (Mark) Lippe. Great nieces and nephews Bettie, Bella, Jaxson, Callen, Tucker and Maklin Chambers, Chloe and Carson Weatherl, Corbin and Cole Lippe. Honorary nephews and niece John (Sarah) Wunderlich, Rob (Carrie) Ellis, Stephanie Foreman.

Celebration of Life will be held on October 3, 2026, at the Bennet Legion: 970 Monroe St, Bennet NE 68317, 5pm – 8 pm.  Memorials can be made to the Bennet Fire and Rescue Department.
