Charles “Chuck” Richard Dreesen
September 2, 1944 – July 26, 2022
Chuck was born to Gertrude and Arthur Dreesen in Norfolk, Nebraska . He is survived by his wife Janet, brother Bob Dreesen (Janelle), nephews Scott Dreesen , daughter, Cami Evans, brother-in-law Ronald Volyes, and nephews Aaron and Mike Voyles. He was preceded in death by father Arthur, twin sister Charlote “Sue” Volyes and Mother Gertrude (Fuhrmann) Dreesen.
Chuck’s major was in the printing trade, owning his own business in Norfolk and later as supervisor of the University of Nebraska printing department.
He had many interests, among them woodworking, music, animals (especially dogs) and gave many volunteer hours to a local pet rescue group and to his church.
Great pride was taken in his yard, his automobiles, and his collection of model Classic Cars.
He made friends easily and would drop everything to help someone in need. There were many serious and painful health issues which he faced with grace and optimism. His smile, his good – humored approach to life, his commitment to God and his religion defined him and will remain in our hearts.
There is a new star lighting up the night sky since he left us. He is reunited with his loved ones, singing in his bass voice, and joking with the angels., Rest well dear Chuck. You are loved always!
