Arlyss Lanette Ketelsen

Arlyss Lanette Ketelsen, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 1, 1934.

Arlyss graduated from Wheatridge High School in 1952, where she was a proud Majorette and enjoyed the friendships and memories she made there. In her younger years, she loved ice-skating and playing tennis, carrying that same energetic and spirited personality throughout her life.

She continued her education at Creighton Memorial St. Joseph Nursing School, where she served as Vice President of her senior class in 1955. That same year, she proudly graduated from the University and began a lifelong calling of caring for others through nursing. Her volunteer work includes Cub Scouts, Newcomers Club, Church, 1972 Hurricane Agnes nursing needs.
On June 10, 1956, she married the love of her life, Roger G. Ketelsen. Together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, family, faith, and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burrell and Ellen Lancaster, husband Roger Ketelsen, her children Scott and Cindy, her brother Donald Lancaster, and sister Donna Bailey.

She is survived by her Brother and sister in law Craig and Nancy Lancaster, daughters Pamela Sue Boers and Patricia Lea & Jeffrey Witt Sr, daughter in law Tracey Ketelsen, and son in law Robert Caricato. Grandchildren missing their beloved grandmother are Jeffrey Allan Witt, Jr, Breanna Witt, Kristina Witt, Kyndal Rose Courtney, Natascha Boers, Marijka Boers-Warra, and Jan Christopher Boers. Great Grandchildren include Amelia Rose Witt, JC Courtney, Chloe Schwartz, Tatum Witt, Penelope Strothkamp, Kayden Courtney, and Breck Houlden. Nieces and nephews include Marcia Halpin, Joyce Manwaring, Gayle Bailey, Mark Lancaster, and David Lancaster.

Known for her strength, caring spirit, and unwavering love for her family, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. As a nurse, wife, mother, sister, and friend, she gave generously of herself and created lasting memories for generations of family.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 3825 Wild Briar Ln., Lincoln, NE. Luncheon will be held following the service at the church.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
