Teresa Audrey Tesdahl
Hastings resident Teresa A. (Ejlersen) Tesdahl passed away on Monday morning December 10th, 2018 at the age of 58. She had been receiving care through Tabitha Hospice while residing at The Ambassador nursing facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Prior to this she had made her home in Hastings where she had lived for many years. Teresa was born January 10th, 1960 in Hastings, NE but lived her early years in Kearney before her family moved to Harvard Nebraska where she graduated from Harvard High School in 1979. Afterwards she attended Central Community College in Hastings where she received an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Shortly after graduation she moved to Rawlins, Wyoming and worked for the Head Start program mainly caring for special needs children. A career move to Las Vegas, Nevada found her working for the Clark County School District as a para-educator and she remained and enjoyed living in Las Vegas for eight years total. During this time she met Floyd Tesdahl. They married and a precious son, Dustin, was born on June 16, 1994. Dustin preceded his mother in death on September 5, 2012 when he passed away after a school bus accident while a student at Blue Hill High School. Teresa has missed him dearly since that day but has now joined him in the arms of her heavenly Father for eternity. Teresa’s father Kenneth Ejlersen also preceded her in death. Remaining family include her loving mother. Patricia Lieb of Harvard, NE, sisters Janet Ejlersen of Beatrice, NE, LaTrisia (Ejlersen) Stull and husband Patrick of Lincoln, NE and brother Marius Ejlersen of Colorado. One niece Holly (Stull) Leth and nephews Shea & Clayton Stull and Jeremy and Josh Ejlersen will fondly remember her. She will be greatly missed by all but they are comforted to know she is now at peace and experiencing complete joy in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ. A memorial service was held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont, NE on Saturday, December 29th at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ronald Kuehner officiating. A private family graveside service will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE. Condolences can be made through Aspen Cremation & Burial Services in Lincoln, NE.

Mardel Lauretta (Johnson) Timmons
October 13, 1936 – October 31st, 2018 Mardel Lauretta (Johnson) Timmons, 82, of Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Born October 13, 1936 to Lynn and Bernice Johnson in Jarbalo, Kansas. Mardel was a devoted stay at home mom who was very involved in her children’s activities. She was an outstanding Campfire Girls leader, PTA president, Booster Club president and attended all her children’s many athletic events. Mardel was a remarkable pastor’s wife, willingly following her husband to pastorships in Clearwater KS., Beatrice and North Platte where she taught many Sunday School classes, Bible studies and hosted Women’s Fellowships throughout the years. She was a dedicated volunteer at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln for 8 years. She attended Phillips University where she received her BFA. Mardel first met her husband, Garry Timmons in 5th grade Sunday School. They were united in marriage on August 25th, 1957 and enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage. Mardel was preceded in death by her son-in-law; Kenneth M. Clark, her brother Garold and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Garry Timmons of Lincoln, sons Kyle (Amy) Timmons of Gilbert AZ, Noel (Sue) Timmons of Lincoln, Chan (Jenny ) Timmons of Littleton CO; daughter Lennea (Jay) Truesdell of Bremen OH ; 11 grandchildren, Jake, Haley, Sydney, Samantha, Nick, Lauren, Taylor, Zane, Bailey, Carson and Mia; sisters Mona Poteet and Velda Boelts and many nieces, nephews and friends. Celebration of Life was held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3rd in the chapel at Plymouth Congregational Church, 20th and “D” St., Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Legacy Employee Appreciation Fund, Lincoln Parks and Recreation Trails System and the Lincoln Friendship Home. Cremation arrangements have been made with private burial at a later date.
