Mason Leo Hockersmith

Mason Leo Hockersmith, age 42, of Lincoln Nebraska died at home Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Mason was born in Saint Francis, Kansas on November 23, 1974, to Donald and Eileen (Goetz) Hockersmith.

Beginning his teenage years, Mason accomplished an expert BMX racing record. In 1993, he graduated from East High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Mason was an auto mechanic early in life leading to his diesel mechanic career, and along the way, other accomplishments included sheet metal journeyman and HVAC technician. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast and an avid sports fan.

Mason and Emi Gregg (deceased) of Cheyenne, Wyoming were united in marriage August 11, 2000, and divorced in February of 2008.

Mason was preceded in death by his grandparents Myrtis (Terpening) Hockersmith, Joe Hockersmith, Imo Jean (Goble) Hockersmith, Leo Goetz and Rose Mary (Ochs) Goetz.

Survivors include his parents Don and Eileen (Goetz) Hockersmith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a brother Ryan Hockersmith of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

A Mass of Christian Burial was on 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 202 Cottonwood St, Park, KS 67751. Inurnment was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery following mass.

Cremation. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery or Masses. Donations to the fund may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 South St., Quinter, KS 67752.

Yi Nyo “Anna” (Kim) Tobiassen

Yi Nyo (Anna) Tobiassen (Kim), age 70, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

Anna dedicated her life to loving and supporting family, friends, and neighbors who will always remember her as a resilient, gregarious, and beautiful person.

Born in Incheon, South Korea October 25, 1946, Anna proceeded in death by her mother, father, and twin sister. Survived in loving memory by husband Douglas K. Tobiassen, daughters; Kimberly (Tobiassen) Parrott (Darren, grandchildren; Graham, Zoey, and Eva), Mary Tobiassen, and Helen Falzett (McCarthy), siblings; Sung Cha McCarthy, Sung Yim Yi, Sang Pong Kim, Sunny Sung Ae Kim, Maria Sung Ok Desmul, and Teresa Sung Hee Min.

Cremation. No visitation. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the Parrott residence at 2324 N. 80th Street in Lincoln, NE from 2-6:00 p.m.

Deborah Dell Bitting

Deborah Dell (Cleckner) Bitting, 72, passed Sunday, July 30, 2017 in her home in Lincoln, NE surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents Willard, Norma Jean (Schamp) and Pauline (Tice) Cleckner, best friends Deb Cook & Norman Tucker and sister-in-law Margaret (Peg) Wilson. Deb was a warm, caring and compassionate daughter, sister (sissy), mother (momma), wife, grandmother (Nani) and friend. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends and most especially sitting around the table having coffee and conversation. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and experience the beauty of life.

Her passions included crocheting, knitting, her many Schnauzers, reading romance novels and watching Hallmark (and according to Scott – these were cheesy romance novels and movies), playing penny slots and listening to the many golf and fishing stories as told by Tom(true or not?).

She leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Thomas Bitting; children Tracy (Joe) Hinderks, Troy (Victoria) Novak, and Scott Bitting; grandchildren, Melissa Staab, Emily Delisi, Trez Novak, Wynter Novak and Justice Novak, Kristopher (Tonia) Hinderks, Lisa Helms, Stephen (Becky) Hinderks, and Joey (Amy) Hinderks; great grandchildren, Dakoda Rain Delisi, Alley Mae Staab, Christopher Ewoldt, Melissa Hinderks, Kaelin Hinderks, Braeden HInderks, Matthew Ewoldt, Shelby Hinderks, Shawna Helms, Kiersten Helms, Sawyer Hinderks, Jasmine Hinderks, Jaden Hinderks, Kavan Hinderks and Peyton Hinderks; brothers, Ed (Dindi) Cleckner and Bill (Sandy) Cleckner; sister-in-law Barb (Bob) Shaw and numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, Marilee Tucker and Andi Helmkamp and many other friends and family.

Cremation. No visitation. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 5th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lakeview United Methodist Church (lower level), 230 Capitol Beach Blvd, Lincoln, NE
