Craig L. Buchholz
Craig Lee Buchholz lived to the age of 67 and died in the peace of his home on October 26, 2017.
Craig was born November 18, 1949, in Osceola, Nebraska to Chester and Opal Buchholz and grew up in Shelby, Nebraska.
Craig was a land surveyor for five years before becoming employed at Black Hills Energy. He retired in 2012 after 35 years in the drafting and customer service departments.
Craig’s many interests included photography, hiking, fishing, traveling, and exploring the Great Outdoors. He was an active volunteer leader in the Boy Scouts of America for more than 15 years with both Pack 59 and Troop 159 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Lincoln. One of his fondest memories was backpacking through Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.

Craig’s greatest love was his family: His wife of 41 years, Shelley (Green) Buchholz, Lincoln; Sons, Scott (JoHanna) Buchholz and Granddaughter Lydia, Denver, and Steven (Emily) Buchholz, Lincoln; Sister Cheryl (Jerry) Wilson, Lincoln; Mother Opal Buchholz, Lincoln; Sister-in-law Sarah (Green) Barth, Lincoln; Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews and a Great Niece. He was preceded in death by his Father Chester Buchholz, Brother Robert Buchholz, and Brother-in-law Gary Barth.
Cremation. No visitation. Celebration of Life will take place in Spring 2018. Memorials to family to be designated at a future date.
Mitchel Lee Klein
Mitchel L. Klein, 67, Lincoln, NE (formerly of Hasting and Grand Island) passed away on Oct. 21, 2017 in Lincoln, NE.
Klein was born February 14th, 1950 in Grand Island to Harold and Marjorie (Humpal) Klein. He graduated from Grand Island Sr. High School and Hastings College. Mitch became a Master Electrician and owned his own business until his move to Winnipeg, Canada. In his later years, he moved to Lincoln, NE where he enjoyed sport shooting, driving his Corvette, and training and raising his purebred chocolate labs, Nellie and P.J.
Cremation. No visitation. Private service.
Mitch was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter Kaili York and grandson Grant; son Michael Klein and spouse Maddy with their children Harper and Rockee; sister and spouse Susan and Dave Kutschkau, sister Barb Klein, and sister and spouse Lori and Ted Graves; & many nieces and nephews.

William “Bill” Ernest Kobza
Passed away on October 15, 2017 at Tabitha in Lincoln.
Age 92
Born December 26, 1924 in Brainard, Nebraska to Joseph A. and Katherine (Hofbauer) Kobza.
Lived in Crete, Nebraska the last 4 years of his life, formerly from Lincoln, Nebraska.
Served in the Army Air Force with the 490th Quartermaster Depot Company in England during World War II. Participated in the air invasion of Normandy, Bastogne and the Ardennes.
Married the love of his life Agnes Adeline (Dolezal) Kobza on May 21, 1947. Celebrated 66 years of marriage before Agnes passed away in August of 2013.
A Meadow Gold retiree. Served many customers in Saline County and was known in the area as the “Milkman” . He was very personable and became friends with most everyone on his route.
He and his wife Agnes enjoyed music and dancing including square dancing, polka dancing and country dancing. They loved spending time with friends and family especially their grandchildren.
Cremation. No visitation. Interment: 2 PM Friday, November 3, 2017 at Lincoln Memorial, 6800 S. 14th St. Meet at Gate 2. Celebration of Life: Open House on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the VFW, 3340 West “A” Street, Lincoln.

Bill is survived by son Billie (& wife Luann) of Lincoln; son Bob (& wife Martha Jakobek) of Chadron; and daughter Lorrie (& husband Russ) Strufing of Niwot, Colorado; grandchildren and their spouses: Klint & Kami Kobza of Lincoln; Sara and Jason Esqueda of Arvada, Colorado; Stephanie & Nate Barclay of Loveland, Colorado; and Ryan and Brittany Strufing of Longmont, Colorado; great grandchildren Cali Kobza and Cade Kobza; Emelia Esqueda and Elena Esqueda; and Adeline Barclay; brother Joseph (& wife Arliene) of Lincoln; and sister Delores (& husband Jim) Brandenburgh of Arlington, Texas; sisters-in-law Rose Marie Kobza of Omaha and Mary Kobza of Mesa, Arizona.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife Agnes; brothers Ed, Richard, Norman and Tom; and sister Helen Uhlir.
Robert “Bob” Noel Sass
Robert “Bob” Noel Sass, of Eagle, NE, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the age of 86.
Robert was born to Harry and Genevieve “Jack” Sass on July 6, 1931 in West Point, NE. Bob enjoyed nature, spending time at the Elkhorn River, and working at the Pharmacy and Soda Shop and the Cumming County Fair. He graduated from West Point Central Catholic in 1949. Bob earned a B.S. Degree in English and then an M.S Degree in Biochemistry in 1955 from Creighton University. After graduation, Bob worked with faculty members at Creighton as a research scientist on government funded projects.
In 1959, Robert began his career with Dorsey Laboratories in Lincoln, NE as a Quality Control Chemist finally becoming a Manager of Production to end his 29 year career.
Robert married Hope Johnson on September 22, 1962. They had one son, Steven. As a family they shared interests in fishing, duck and pheasant hunting, and gardening. They have enjoyed trips to the Rockies among other destinations.
Robert is survived by his wife, Hope J. Sass M.D; his son, Steven T. Sass; his granddaughters, Hannah M. Sass and Camille K. Sass and their mother Kathleen S. Sass; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Genevieve Sass; brother, Gary David Sass; sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Kaup and Mary Susan “Suzie” Henrickson.
Cremation. No visitation. A Celebration of Life was held at South Lake Village (9401 Andermatt Dr. Lincoln, NE, 68526) on Sunday October 15th from 11-1:00pm. Donations in his memory can be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness and The Nature Conservancy.
Roberta (Anderson) Fraser
Fraser, Roberta J. (Anderson) March 3, 1932 – October 11, 2017. Passed away at the age of 85 in Lincoln, NE. Even though Alzheimer’s robbed our beloved sister and aunt of her ability to communicate, she was still able to stop all of us in our tracks with that classic Roberta look. With her brow furrowed and lips pursed, you knew exactly how she felt!
Preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Clara Anderson; husband, William M. Fraser.
