Charlene Ann Ottersberg
Charlene was born July 21, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to Guy and GuyLeta (McCullough) Hagood. She lived most of her life in the Blue Springs/Wymore/Beatrice area. She also lived in Prineville, Oregon, California, and South Sioux City, Nebraska. She graduated from Wymore High School in 1961.
She married Willie Ottersberg in October 1961, later divorced. Bowled in several leagues at Henry’s Bowl and was Secretary/Treasurer on some of them. Worked at Good Sam Home for a while, Goodrich Dairy, Holiday Villa Motel, Henry’s Bowl and started at Sunrise Bakery in 1976 and worked there for 35 years and retired in 2011.
Her hobbies were bowling, fishing, watching tv, hanging out with her dog Alf and cat Cha-Cha. She also loved spending time with her family very much.
She was survived by daughters, Sheila Folsom and husband Michael of Lincoln; Deb Arntt and husband Duane of Campbell; son, Keith Ottersberg of Wymore; grandchildren, Jesse Huls and fiancé Tiffany, Brittani Arntt and significant other Jake Ackland, Jordan Foss and wife Michaela, Bradley Ottersberg and Ashley Ottersberg and fiancé Skyler Phothirath ; great grandchildren, Paesynn and Ransom Arntt, Camryn and Natalia Guthrie, Jared and Breanna Folsom, Alyssa Johnson, Emma Folsom, and Emersyn Ottersberg. Along with nephews Dan Crowley and wife Heather, Jason Crowley and wife Vanessa, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and GuyLeta (McCullough) Hagood, sister Sharon Ramsey, brother Stephen Hagood, niece Samantha Ramsey, and nephew Jeff Crowley, and grandparents.

Ruby Hock Thelander
Ruby Hock Thelander, born on February 5, 1930 in Lincoln, NE to Friedrich and Magdalena Hock, died on April 16, 2024. Ruby married Roy Donald Thelander in 1951. She worked as the personal secretary for L.J. Messer at L&M Enterprises. A charter member of South Gate United Methodist Church, Ruby’s life was one of faith, determination and action. A natural leader, she held leadership positions within Church Women United, United Methodist Women, and Women’s Division of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. She chaired the development of Ecumenical Legislative Briefing Day, which has continued for more than 40 years. Survivors: Daughters: Amy (Burke) Hinds, of Minneapolis MN; Kay (Bill Parker) Penton, of Crete NE Grandchildren: Emily (Justin) Terrell, of Richfield MN; Ben (Natalie) Penton, Dustin Parker, Joel Parker of Lincoln NE; Lauren Parker of Crete NE; Mitchell Parker of Council Bluffs IA: Great-grandchildren: Booker Terrell, Ajani Terrell, Sören Penton; Sister: M. Joyce Riddle, of San Diego CA; Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Spouse: Roy Thelander; Sisters and Brothers in Law: Amy (Ray) Frohn, Mary (Harold) Schwabauer Brothers: George Hock, Fred (Pauline) Hock, and Robert Riddle. Lonnie Gene Schoenfeld
Lonnie Gene Schoenfeld (Schoeny) passed away on April 12, 2024 surrounded by family. Lonnie was born on October 23,1943 in Brainard, NE to Albert and Blanche Schoenfeld. Lonnie began his career on the road as a truck driver. He stayed on that road for 40 years before finishing his career at Nestle. Lonnie married the love of his life Betty Andelt on June 6, 1964. Together they welcomed four daughters; Rhonda (Mark) McFarland, Lisa (Kent) Nelson, Loni (Chris) Knudsen, and Donna (Joe) Pollat. Lonnie was known for his love of horses, which he passed on to his daughters. He was also very meticulous with his lawn and gardening. There was never a stranger known to Lonnie. He always lit up a room with a great sense of humor and everyone could hear that great big ole belly laugh for miles. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Betty Schoenfeld; children Rhonda (Mark) McFarland, Lisa (Kent) Nelson, Loni (Chris) Knudsen, Donna (Joe) Pollat; grandchildren Shelby (Brent) Kliment, Kourtney (Jim) Tarnick, Kade Nelson, Logan (Whitney) Knudsen, Dane (Megan) Knudsen, Taylor (Wade) Sluka, Lucas (Baylee) Smejdir, Brock Pollat, Payden (Logan) Hunke, Austin McFarland, Tanner Smejdir, Gunar Pollat, Elle Pollat; cousin Sandy Behm; nephew Allen Schoenfeld; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many extended family and countless friends. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Blanche Schoenfeld; brother Donald Schoenfeld and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be will be held June 8, 2024 at the Schoenfeld residence from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Lunch and dinner will be served.
