Robert C. (Bob) McKeen, 93, died Thursday 12-20-2018 US Army veteran, WWII Bob worked in the insurance industry most of his adult life, first at AAA Nebraska and then with Forsyth Insurance in Lincoln. Preceded in death by his father Ben, mother Florence, brother Forrest and his wife Joan (Goggins). Survived by two sons, Kelly and Patrick (Kathleen), seven grandchildren, and several great-grand children. A celebration of Robert McKeen’s life was held Friday, April 19th from 5 – 9 PM at St. Mark’s Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd, Lincoln, NE. Bartell, Merlin W. 11/28/44-12/20/18 He is survived by his wife Marlene. Children: Micah Bartell Leander TX, Cheryl (Jacob) Widhalm Lincoln NE, Aaron Bartell Lincoln NE. Grandchildren: Bryson, Shea, Shelby, Kelson, Jameson and Aislynn. Brothers: George (Jeanne) Bartell Des Plaines IL, Eugene (Karen) Bartell Baltimore MD, John (Sherrie) Bartell Sutton NE and sisters-in-law Elizabeth Bartell Sutton NE. Nieces and nephews. Merlin was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Bartell. Promoted to heaven after a brief illness of pancreatic cancer. Merlin was born in Red Wing MN to Rev. George and Lola (Smith) Bartell. He spent his boyhood in Fredericksburg IA. He was a graduate of Sutton NE high school, UNL and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. On December 21, 1974 he married Marlene A Hennings in Omaha NE. He retired from Lincoln City Libraries. Merlin was an avid student of the Bible and from the age of 28 he looked forward to his soon coming Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

November 4, 1939 – December 17, 2018 David Vencil Zenisek, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Eagle on Monday, December 17, 2018, the son of Vencil and Emilye (Elznic) Zenisek of Milligan (deceased). Survived by his wife Colleen Zenisek, daughter Tammy (John) Albers of Eagle, and grandchildren Danielle and Brandon Albers of Sturgis, S.D. Memorial service was held at 1:30 pm Dec. 22 at Eagle Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1009 G Street, Eagle. Internment at Eagle Cemetery. A celebration of life followed at the Albers home, 1414 S 202nd St., Eagle. Memorials can be sent to the family for a donation to be made in Dave’s memory at a later date.

Hastings resident Teresa A. (Ejlersen) Tesdahl passed away on Monday morning December 10th, 2018 at the age of 58. She had been receiving care through Tabitha Hospice while residing at The Ambassador nursing facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Prior to this she had made her home in Hastings where she had lived for many years. Teresa was born January 10th, 1960 in Hastings, NE but lived her early years in Kearney before her family moved to Harvard Nebraska where she graduated from Harvard High School in 1979. Afterwards she attended Central Community College in Hastings where she received an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Shortly after graduation she moved to Rawlins, Wyoming and worked for the Head Start program mainly caring for special needs children. A career move to Las Vegas, Nevada found her working for the Clark County School District as a para-educator and she remained and enjoyed living in Las Vegas for eight years total. During this time she met Floyd Tesdahl. They married and a precious son, Dustin, was born on June 16, 1994. Dustin preceded his mother in death on September 5, 2012 when he passed away after a school bus accident while a student at Blue Hill High School. Teresa has missed him dearly since that day but has now joined him in the arms of her heavenly Father for eternity. Teresa’s father Kenneth Ejlersen also preceded her in death. Remaining family include her loving mother. Patricia Lieb of Harvard, NE, sisters Janet Ejlersen of Beatrice, NE, LaTrisia (Ejlersen) Stull and husband Patrick of Lincoln, NE and brother Marius Ejlersen of Colorado. One niece Holly (Stull) Leth and nephews Shea & Clayton Stull and Jeremy and Josh Ejlersen will fondly remember her. She will be greatly missed by all but they are comforted to know she is now at peace and experiencing complete joy in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ. A memorial service was held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont, NE on Saturday, December 29th at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ronald Kuehner officiating. Tracy Joy Preusker Gabriel, 58, Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2018. Tracy was born in Norfolk, Nebraska on April 22, 1960 to Tim and Marilyn Preusker. The family moved to St. Joseph, MO in 1968 where she attended school Lafayette High School. She was a majorette and loved twirling fire. She graduated in 1978. She attended Northwest Missouri State University studying Interior Design. She met Kevin Gabriel in 1979 and they were married in St. Joseph in 1981. They settled in Lincoln, Nebraska where she home schooled her 2 children Kyle and Rachel through the 6th grade. She volunteered regularly at Lincoln Christian School and spent her life as a homemaker. She dedicated herself to instilling Christian values to her children and her 5 grandchildren. She was a shining example of a giving and caring lady who always looked for the good in everyone. Tracy was a very talented seamstress making 100’s of dresses, costumes, blankets and quilts for her family. She was an active member of Lincoln Berean and enjoyed Bible studies and fellowship with her friends. She continued her giving ways to the very end as she was a registered organ donor. She is survived by her parents Tim and Marilyn Preusker of Lincoln; her husband Kevin and children Kyle Anthony (Billie) Gabriel and Rachel Joy (Aaron Joseph) Weigman; her grandchildren Karter Timothy and Kolton Wade Gabriel, Olivia Joy, Logan Joseph and Alexis Grace Weigman; her brother Todd Preusker (Diane) and lifelong friend Kathy Shorba (John), and dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to A Celebration of Tracy’s Life was on Friday December 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Berean Church, 6400 South 70th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska.
